Once upon a time, California stood Edward Furlong up as the epitome of a cool American teenager and popularized a bunch of nonsense like “hasta la vista” and “cowabunga”.

They’ve overdrawn their cultural account, doing shit like trying to make trannies such as Ariana Grande our new reflection

I hypothesize that Harvey Weinstein was behind the tranny craze, cause he wanted to normalize his gash.

Anyways, it’s good that the fires hit Hollywood. I am happy today

Why are US houses mostly made out of wood?
Wouldn't the envirocommies appreciate masonry more?
Consider environments. Brick not so great in Earthquake zones; wood is great, moves and is stable. In mountain area states you'll see almost entirely brick and little wood even though there is abundance of wood - the environment has much to do with it. Cost is a big factor also. Homes can be made storm proof and fire proof but at an incredible cost.

There's a reason for it. Drop an English castle in L.A. and watch it crumble to dust during the first earthquake. Building materials have gotten shittier due to logging practices and green requirements, but wood framed houses will always reign supreme anywhere near fault lines.
*coughs in Toyko*
The rest of the world manages to build just fine despite earthquakes, all it takes is proper buildings for the location.
No excuse to build houses of cheap-ass timber struts and clay, its not 1734 anymore.

But what if it's Swamp Castle?

It's easy to think that nothing will happen to the politicians because Cali is as blue as a suffocated corpse but the people affected are either extremely powerful or now have literally nothing else to lose. Even if the wind was so bad that this was inevitable every one sees an 18 million dollar cut budget, a mayor away for a pr appearance running away from reporters, and a critical, farcical lack of water. It's possible even with best circumstances this would still be the same catastrophe but we will never know and any time this fire is ever mention the first thing that will pop into peoples head is "empty fire hydrants, 18 million dollar budget cut" no matter how many cries of climate change they use to try to deflect, and hopefully the smarter ones will notice all these climate concerns are some of the very thing that helped burn there fucking house down. Even if "nothing ever happens" and everyone gets off scott free this is an absolute and complete break down of leadership that will stain everyone involved for the rest of there lives.
