Consider environments. Brick not so great in Earthquake zones; wood is great, moves and is stable. In mountain area states you'll see almost entirely brick and little wood even though there is abundance of wood - the environment has much to do with it. Cost is a big factor also. Homes can be made storm proof and fire proof but at an incredible cost. Why are US houses mostly made out of wood?
Wouldn't the envirocommies appreciate masonry more?
*coughs in Toyko*There's a reason for it. Drop an English castle in L.A. and watch it crumble to dust during the first earthquake. Building materials have gotten shittier due to logging practices and green requirements, but wood framed houses will always reign supreme anywhere near fault lines.

But what if it's Swamp Castle? There's a reason for it. Drop an English castle in L.A. and watch it crumble to dust during the first earthquake. I realize you have uncle ruckas as your profile picture, but you trying to act like a nigger who acts like a white person is getting out of hand.I'm unsure that budgets actually prevent low humidity and whether or not it rains
"The good news is, I'm a great-grandfather today!"
Brick buildings are horrific at handling horizontal stress and will collapse. Guess what the US deals with even more than wild fires? Hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes. So tell me again, why are houses built with wood in a place known to burst in flames every so often?
We’re talking about California. The homes ought to be dildo shaped latex tentsBrick buildings are horrific at handling horizontal stress and will collapse. Guess what the US deals with even more than wild fires? Hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes.
