I think it's more about the California arrogance claiming they're the bestest at environmentalism, and social organization, while sneering at the hicks that actually go out in the woods, and manage the environment. That’s not the situation in California. And everybody has known it for years. And everybody has pointed it out for years. And in the face of that, the people in California generally acted the same. And now that risk has manifested in a horrible way. It’s not glee to point this out.
Probably “we can’t afford any of this shit and will go insolvent so what do you want?” Followed by a big wildfire exclusion due to being in CA.I wonder what excuses the insurance companies will use so they don't have to pay out for this disaster?
If the LA mayor really believed in the Climate Change nonsense she wouldn't have just cut the fire budget by $17 million. They'd be increasing it.Californians and their leftist liberal governments have been preaching about climate change for decades, yet other than telling others what to do, look what they achieved themselves? Nothing.
Where is their great preparation for climate change? Nowhere to be found. Only telling others what to do, not living by their own creed.
The wildfire was to be expected, the infrastructure supposed to be ready to fight it is non-existent.
Great job Tardifornians.
In under a minute, that's some cosmic energy right there

The bolded is a belief that I very much understand even if I don't exactly agree. Human beings have the ability to consider their actions and the likely consequences of those actions, and yet so much of the chaos we cause is related to incredibly short-term thinking. (Take the depletion of minerals in soil. Completely avoidable through better farming practices, but we make little effort to avoid it.) It's shameful, and it could have disastrous consequences for all life on Earth. We are the only species in a position to be shepherds for the only life, as far as we know, in existence. That comes with a responsibility we are frankly not living up to the way we should. The rest of life on Earth is, in a strange sense, morally better than us because they don't have the capacity to sin in that way. That's because the people who truly believe this "original sin" of human estrangement from nature also believe that there is no way back without a living sacrifice of the "unworthy"--that "Nature, red in tooth and claw" and all the creatures across the face of the planet have a moral superiority over humans.
You'll have to forgive the quoted poster. We've been conditioned by bullshit law like Obamacare not to even understand the basic definition of insurance or how it works.Probably “we can’t afford any of this shit and will go insolvent so what do you want?” Followed by a big wildfire exclusion due to being in CA.
They literally don’t have enough money to do so. It’s not even a greedy corporation thing, there’s not enough cash if they wanted to pay.I wonder what excuses the insurance companies will use so they don't have to pay out for this disaster?
They’re not covering wildfire damage. What, you didn’t get the email? Sucks to be you paying insurance.I wonder what excuses the insurance companies will use so they don't have to pay out for this disaster?
Hard to say since everything hasn't been evaluated, but just to give an estimate:In total how much has been lost as of now?
Act of God?I wonder what excuses the insurance companies will use so they don't have to pay out for this disaster?
I can. It’s mostly rich (but not insane celebrity) rich areas. Doubt there are many hobos allowed to sleep in those areas. As for the death toll, I have no idea and I don't think anyone does at the moment. I refuse to believe that there are only 5 deaths so far
Isn't complaining about moral fagging a form of moral fagging?Imagine moral fagging over people who want to see you removed from polite society because you visit a website like this that allows you to say nigger, tranny, faggot, etc etc.
I think most people understand that climate change is very real, the issue is that the loudest preachers are hypocrites who expect someone else to solve the issue for them, instead of contributing. If the LA mayor really believed in the Climate Change nonsense she wouldn't have just cut the fire budget by $17 million. They'd be increasing it.
