We seriously need a term for this tactic. “To dishonestly assume an identity or political stance for the purpose of self-aggrandizement and/or emotional blackmail.” What’s a good word for that?
A supreme xentlemen

Just curious, how was he breaking an NDA in that video?

I did a search and I cannot find any direct evidence he broke a NDA, though claiming to leak "emails from high" about buttering up journalists would have broken several:

A lot of people assumed it as a given because NDAs are par for the course for game companies and very restrictive. Honoring employer confidentiality, along with the distant second of not walking out on a project before completion, are the two commandments of game development.

At the end of the day it's about trust. Trust is kind of important when you're working around proprietary software and intellectual properties. What happens if you give Alex Lifschitz another chance? Does he candidly recorded a "problematic" cutscene towards the end of your flagship product and send it to Polygon?

Maybe not, but why take the risk when you can let the "associate producer" opening sit for another day and get another 500 resumes to pick through.

Came across this pic while searching unrelated, is this a real photo/shirt? Is it all a co-incidence?

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, there's a lot of shirts with stuff like on them.

I think the consensus is he's likely breaking a non-disparagement clause he agreed to when signing an NDA. It's pretty much in there to stop disgruntled employees and ex-employees who think it's a great idea to publicly slander a previous employer. I doubt he got in trouble for it but it's another thing that just makes him less appealing when he applies for a job in the industry because odds are he'd have to eventually sign another NDA that has a similar clause.

@LordKaT Chelsea's CON apparently had a hotline you could call (I think? maybe it just means their "email crisis hotline"). I wonder how often it was even answered. It was "temporarily suspended" in December 2016.

Edit: Looking at the archives it seems it is talking about the email helpline, how lazy do you have to be to not answer emails?

"rainbow flag on the wall"

Well, that will make it easy for any Farmers in the area to figure out which gym Chelsea is (allegedly) getting her teeth kicked in.

All that money gained from e-begging, and they can't even hire one person to man the phones, let alone a single volunteer. Even Trans-Lifeline manages to answer the phone once a week.

I guess Chelsea knew the jig was up after the CON leaks, and is letting wither on the vine while she moves onto the new "I'm trans!/I'm a wrestler!" grifts.

That's odd, I thought we had stories here from multiple tumblr and twitter users explicitly going on about said hotline being garbage that never answered or gave them shit for advice. Or am I confusing this with something else? All these hoax support groups get confusing.
