I'm assuming this is in regards to the house. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can overgo, up there with bereavement, doubly so when it's involuntary. It's likely made worse by the fact that this is all due to Nick's own poor life decisions over the past 3 years.

Somewhere in this thread is info about the family. Younger married couple with a kid. Not related to Nick or Kayla in any way.

I guess Nick could not stand seeing a happy family all the time, or his kids started complaining why the parents of that kid were so much cooler, cooked better food and actually did washing regularly.

I assumed that the father of the family (Caleb Hatfield) was a work associate of Kayla's stepdad (Daniel Sletta), since they were both corrections officers. That might not be the case after looking into it some more. Daniel was a CO in St. Cloud, while Caleb is a CO in Kandiyohi county
