Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Anyone remember Alex Kingston? She's from Dr Who and ER. I've been looking out of curiosity (she's in the UK atm) at the house she owns and its in the Innsdale (innsdale drive) area in the Hollywood hills. Is that area in danger?

BEING CALLED THE KENNETH FIRE

So it turns out Fury Road is an accurate representation of Californian politics.

An indoctrinated people, a ruler that can care less if the people underneath him died and on top of that, controls the water.
+very big car scene.

The only water in the forest is the river. Except in Los Angeles of course, where the river is a giant, dry, concrete storm drain.

Hasan said that he was "prepared" to evacuate, but I'm not sure if he actually did so or not:

Don’t do this to me. Don’t give me hope.
it was a complete and utter lie to make you dependent on shitty alternatives to fossil fuels because they dont care if the things in your life function enough to keep you healthy or happy beyond your use in propping up their lifestyles.
Literally if fhe average person stopped using cars it wouldn’t end anything so long as we’re using those cargo ships that use very dirty fuel.
reminds me of the people trying to push that black women were on par with white men in leadership roles (also kinda strange that race is normally verboten but they specified race and gender) because they mistake being loud and being able to corral people to placate you with leadership. this is the real test of leadership.
They mistake being a loudmouth asshole for leadership.
Not just copper, there is also probably a whole lot of silver, gold and precious gems from jewelry around the palisades area. Could actually make of like a bandit, literally
I imagine some valuable shit can survive a fire.

His policies and the ineptness of his state's government prevented or hampered good land AND WATER management.
The left loves to bitch about Republicans' inability to govern, but the rights' mismanagement has never caused $50 billion in estimated losses IN A FEW DAYS.

I predict you will see a massive diaspora like that of Katrina. Claims will be grossly underpaid. The insurance companies can cite retarded decisions and failing leadership saying the states' at fault if they even try to sue. Rebuilding costs will be sky high and result in a shortage of workers. That means you're looking at months to years before any construction starts. For many, rebuilding is something they cannot afford. It will be easier to move on to some place more affordable.

i honestly didn't realize what a great representation of LA grand theft auto online really was. i am actually recognizing spots in the city thanks to my admittedly overspent time in that game. neat dedication to detail from the devs, and a horrifying personalization of the fires for me.
It fucked up on one front. Its not as filthy as actual LA. Funny enough, San Andreas nailed it.

Goddamn, look at this simpering little douchebag with his slicked-back hair and (probably designer) aviators.

I could not tolerate this.
He looks exactly like a douchebag character in a GTA story that you run missions for and then get to kill after he stabs you in the back. Hope the latter part of that actually happens.
