Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I don't like how much I enjoyed this episode. I don't know if my standards are slipping, but it felt like a fun, exciting Star Wars adventure. Obviously I have the same issues I've had this entire time (the ugly DEI mutt being shoved in our faces, them forcing faggotry on us, and the elephant showing the filmmakers' disdain for white people), but the ship sequence was exciting and visually interesting (it felt reminiscent of how the PT and ROTJ to a lesser extent did space combat), Jude Law being a hardened villain who doesn't care about the kids caught me off guard but didn't feel forced, the revelation that At-Attin isn't just a planet with a mint on it but is actually a planet sized mint that was meant to service the Republic made sense and was revealed through visuals rather than exposition was shockingly well done for a piece of modern media (I'm assuming the director was white since no DEI director could pull that off), and truthfully it felt good to see that little niglet cry as Jod threatened to brutally kill his nigger father. I'd like to hope this means Star Wars has a chance at being great again once Hollywood stops with the woke BS like the rest of America is slowly doing, but as long as Filoni is still breathing, I have my doubts.

Basically, if the lead weren't an ugly mutt who makes me want to go Luigi on his ass at a convention someday, I'd actually say this is the best Star Wars in a long time.

When I rewatched Attack of the Clones last week, I noticed that in one shot, Anakin has Obi-Wan’s lightsaber he had in that film and Phantom Menace but with a green blade to it.

Another shot I noticed is that Ki Adi Mundi was using a green lightsaber when he uses a blue one.

Since I watched the film on the 2011 Blu Ray set, I also noticed that when Anakin is having nightmares about his mother, Pernilla August did voiceovers to Anakin's vision, which wasn’t in the theatrical cut. Apparently a few special effects which were not ready for the initial wide release were completed for release in digital-projection theaters.

I also found out after rewatching the film that there was a IMAX version released in November 2002 that was only two hours long. Apparently it cut a lot of scenes out because of a limit IMAX theaters had at the time.

Is it wrong to say that AOTC is my favorate Star Wars film because we got so much good shit out of it

AOTC got a lot more shit than it deserved at the time because people were still pissed about ep 1 and wanting to dogpile it, like when nerds flipped the fuck out over Background Jedis #236-241 (out of five hundred) were going to be Current Boy Band

AOTC is nigh unwatchable in theaters because there is no fastforward/chapter skip button to get through Lucas' inability to write dialog. The fact it was was what followed TPM did not help its reception, but the lows of AOTC are really, REALLY low.
I can grant you it improves when you add the ability to skip those.
Also R2's retarded ass rocket boosters

AOTC is the weakest of the three by a good margin and when you have TPM as a contender that is saying something. You have the lame fake out with Senator Padme and I don't know why Lucas goes with a planet electing a child queen and none of that shit makes any sense. Scenes of the Jedi Temple were pretty good, but for a guy who can supposedly sense emotions putting his highschool senior apprentice with the cute college graduate he was crushing on as a child is real fucking boner move anyone could have seen coming.
Kamino is pretty tits nearly start to finish - it could have been written better but its extremely strong and enjoyable with Jango and Kenobi both knowing the other is full of shit, hoping the other doesn't know EXACTLY how full of shit they are, and trying to out maneuver each other.
Genosis is solid meh. The Arena scene was OK, the droid factory was retarded, and last half of act III was extremely solid.

Add to this that the Clone Wars turned out to be kind of lame and gay vs. what it could have been in that throw away world building line holographic Leia says. By which I mean just dudes fighting droids is pretty cool, but man when I hear clone wars and knowing Jedi had to be involved I'm expecting clones of multiple individuals not just an Army of One.

If you skip the romance scenes, that means less time with prime Padme. Don't be silly.
A Leon The Professional Enjoyer I see.

Missed the part where everyone else were flipping the fuck out at those nerds. Cause they're denied the opportunity of watching that boy band (N'Sync) die on screen because of them.

If people want to watch the prequels, do they sit down and watch all three or just ATOC and ROTS? I am always the former. I know TPM enough that I can skip it. The only times I have seen that film in the last 15 years was the 3D rerelease before Disney took over and when I saw it in cinemas last May.

I usually watch all three and TCW. I think it flows better that way. But also I think the prequels are better than the OT so my opinion is probably an outliar.

I watch all three, with rifftrax. Mike and the Bots make the movies watchable. Mike making a dip recipe while Windu and Sheev are fighting is probably one of the funniest parts. If I'm feeling really nostalgic I'll play the MST3k theme before watching them.

Lucas really needed someone to either trim or enhance and remove his dialogue, particularly someone who knows how a man talks to a woman. That scene where Anakin confesses his boner to Padme continues to cringe my spine out.

Harrison Ford said it best: George can type this shit but he can’t say it. He should have moved his mouth while typing so he knows if it sounded like shit or not.

Lucas is like Kojima, he's capable of making some really good stuff, but he desperately needs someone who can wrangle him and turn good ideas into good executions while being able to reign in the worst of his bad ideas. The Prequel Trilogy suffers from having a solid core concept (the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader) and a serviceable plot, at least in a general sense, but it wasn't done as well as it could have been.

Lucas’s hubris was a reason the prequels turned out the way he did. They are Lucas without any wranglers and limitations he faced during the making of the OT. Not having Fox executives have creative input wasn’t enough for him at the time because he had technical and budget limitations regarding the effects of his vision and people wrangling him so his ideas are in placed.

Look, I’m all for independent filmmaking, I just wish George swallowed his pride and had people help him wrangle his writing and execution.

goddamn it we've hit another time loop in this thread again

here's the part where someone goes "lucas tried but erryone was all, NAH YOU GOT THIS and wouldn't help him also he was anti-guild/union so screw him he's on his own and the rest is history"
