Condolences. I hope you can overcome your malady.
Sadly, being English is both terminal and incurable. Quality of life will continue to diminish until the patient dies. Co-morbidities will arise. Chief among these are Noncery Syndrome, Paki Rape Gangs-itis, Irreversible Cultural Decline Disease, and General Degeneracy Disorder.
Mutations of the English Disease have been found in such diverse places as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and have been found to be variants with just as harmful effects.
Some variants, particularly the East Indian strain, have amplified the effect of the disease and have proven even more harmful and virulent.
The Irish variant, appearing initially to be a rejection of the disease, has shown itself to be only a slightly different variant with better music.
Early attempts to prevent the disease (notably The American Revolution) initially appeared promising, but long term longitudinal studies are now casting doubt on the effectiveness of this approach.
Recently, a novel treatment was introduced, referred to in literature as 'Brexit'. There was a great deal of optimism initially, although experimental malfeasance by those running the study have hampered the legitimacy of the study. Thus far, this treatment appears to have had zero to little effect.
Some suggest an excisement of the malignant growth commonly called 'London' may ameliorate the condition, but all researchers agree this will be, at best, a temporary solution.
More advanced treatments have been suggested in the past (see Hitler et. al. 1939-1945), but there is no hard data to support this possibility. Some have even pointed out this solution may in fact exacerbate the condition (see Germany, Western Europe, 1945 -present).
In conclusion, to date there appear no promising treatment vectors for victims of the sinister disease, and the most optimistic outlook is one of a humiliating, slow, and rather painful deterioration. It looks like The English Disease will continue to be a problem for the foreseeable future.
