The Pacific Palisades lots seemed to be extremely narrow. They either had a longish driveway and almost no yard or almost no driveway and a small and skinny backyard.

I've lived long enough to see the American people swing from wishing LA would sleep now in the fire to wishing that LA would go rollin' down Rodeo towards a certain victory for the People's Republic of California.

To use up the land. All cities are like that. They are built by development companies, who buy up huge swaths of land at private goverment auctions no one else has access to, for pennies on the dollar, and then divide it up as many ways as possible in order to make the maximum profit. There is a real difference in profit whether you sell 1000 1 acre plots for 500k each, or 2000 0.5 acre plots for 350-400k each. And that's before construction. Then you use your corrupt government buddies to get building licenses on the cheap and easy side, while the normal person is stuck behind 10 miles of red tape and retardation, that you help set up via all your corrupt pos gov buddies. Then you pay some illegal mexicans to set up some wood and chinese drywall in the cheapest shittiest way that kinda resembles a house and boom all of a sudden, your 350k plot of land, that you bought for 3.5k from the goverment thanks to your buddies, is now worth 3.5mil.

Update: My uncle is fine. The fire would have to torch Santa Monica and LAX before reaching his place. I was talking to him earlier, and he was super pissed about the mishandling of the disaster response.

I do not want to provide too much information, but he is a fairly progressive leftist who parrots media talking points. As such, his criticism of LA and California politicians is highly uncharacteristic. In fact, he has begun to use the word “woke” to describe modern games. I suppose that living in LA for multiple years has opened his eyes to the cancerous beliefs and sheer incompetence of liberal fags. Hopefully, he will be fully cured of his political retardation when I see him again.

I looked up to see if goats can really eat poison ivy, because I thought you were joking, and I found out the Amazon was going to rent goats for the purpose of eating non native plants. I hate Bezos so fucking much, does he live here, and was his mansion razed? We all know if this did happen, there would have been a massive cover up about thousands of goats being emaciated and dying of hunger, because, "Our bad idea isn't allowing us to rent out goats fast enough and it's cheaper to let them die then try and find places to let them roam free and eat shit."

Cities didn't used to be built like that. Post-war suburbs had much larger lots until recently when mass immigration increased demand so much that builders switched to focusing on quantity instead of quality. In cities with large amounts of recent immigration like Dallas and Houston, you can tell the age of a neighborhood from the sky by looking at the density of houses; the newer they are, the more dense they are.

The West Coast has always been worse when it comes to packing people in than the East Coast and Midwest though. Atlanta is the polar opposite of LA: miles and miles of large houses on large lots.

Bingo. There are simply too many effing people in the country and the massive population growth is entirely due to immigration - 95% of it is non-white.

Don’t believe what the most recent population census says: if there are anything less than 380 million people living in the US, I would be shocked. Massive populations ALWAYS = lower quality of life for most people. You end up with cutthroat competition for basic resources like what happens in hellscapes such as India and China.
