I have personally made the journey from tolerant of gays, even to the point of agreeing they should have the ability to get legally married, to full on Gas The Gays Orientation War Now.

I can speak only for myself, but probably the single biggest factor was how hard they pushed public fetish displays via Pride. I did not ever want to learn about "pup play" or "leather daddies" or "piss pools" or "fisting pigs." I know about these things now because of the discourse that pops up around their inevitable display during Pride marches. Then you add in how they forced endless Pride crap at work, and I am fucking done. At no point in the 00s was I told that giving fags rights meant I was going to be subjected to mandatory homosexuality celebrations for about 20% of the year.

I don't like celebrating anything for more than about three hours, so if you want to make me hate you enough to chortle with glee when you die of AIDS, force me to celebrate you for weeks on end.

There are other reasons, too, but mandatory Pride really broke me of any sympathy I have for them.

Doubt it's worth much, but there's plenty of gay men who are fucking tired of the Mandatory Pride™ bullshit, too. Obviously, you're not going to hear about it because any sort of movement has basically been highjacked by special interest groups (see: communists) who use it as a convenient wedge issue. Best way to think about it is the "feminist ally" who is really only using the movement to try and get laid or, going further back, the hippies who talked about "free love, man" that were just trying to get grass and ass. Honestly, the issue of subversives injecting themselves into any kind of group to try and divide it... really shouldn't be a foreign concept to this very site, now that I think of it.

I think the recent Pride Parades™ last year should be a good example of what I'm talking about: they were routinely interrupted by pro-Palestine supporters looking to make the spotlight about them. AI-driven artificial vaginas exist already, and AI-LLM girlfriend programs for conversations. We're probably less than 5 years away from Japan making a full sized robot that can have decent sex and talk with LLM-driven dialogue. Competition for men already drives most female behavior. Once they're competing against sexbots, it's sort of game over. Even more so once artificial wombs become affordable.

Overall, a win-win for everyone. Degenerates get their degeneracy while removing themselves from society at large, loners get to have a facsimile of a relationship(hopefully keeping them from spiraling into insanity), and the dating market gets better 'cause the people who participate in it will be those who want something more than a mere fuck buddy.
