Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

This thread is giving me healthcare CEO vibes. A handful of people coming in and speging out with "Nooo you can't laugh at the people who hate you, your family and your culture! People that want you dead suffering the consequences of their decisions shouldn't bring you any feelings of schadenfreude!". It sucks that the "good" Californians lost their homes, but that doesn't make the rest less deserving of this.

The site, CaliforniaFireFacts.com, serves to combat false information spread on the internet and “and by political leaders around the Southern California wildfires,” the release states.
Looking at the site, it's clearly a political campaign site for Newsom:

If this site was for any other purpose other than helping Newsom politically, the information would have been disseminated through official channels on CA websites.

edit: I wasn't paying attention, because the url redirects directly to Newsom's personal website:

The idea is not to perpetually flee oppression, but to gather up your might and stop it once you get to the place you fled to
Despite your flowery language, you are really dodging around the fact that shits been going extremely downhill for a while. Bad fires before, defunded fire department, DEI, ect. Anyone with any savvy knew things were going to get DIRE eventually, and finally it did. And if you KNOW this is coming, getting out isn't "cowardly", its being unwilling to subject yourself to needless trauma..

But hey, feel free to tell me how staying is TOTALLY WORTH IT for people who had their homes, cars, all possessions, and some family burned into ash particles floating over the pacific ocean. Really brave of them to stay compared to those FUCKING COWARDS who moved, and are currently hunky dory.

Right?

ngl, I live in the center of the valley rn and have to keep an eye on all three fires.
Every day, the urge to fedposting towards politicians and clueless liberals is getting stronger.
Gonna logoff for a while.
Why haven't you fucking moved out of that shithole? It's your own fault for voted Newsome out of office. Really, all this is your fault for defying God's divine plan, you stupid fucking faggot. No sympathy, Caliscum.

same, i've kept quiet just because I don't want to contribute to a thread when I know anything worthwhile I try to post will be drowned out by the same tired argument and a bunch of retards still arguing over it. It's been over 30 pages of this now and I don't understand how the retards being repeatedly trash-canned haven't been either threadbanned or smart enough to wise up and fuck off already.
Especially fucking deplorable given that there's actual reason to watch and happenings as we speak, with the wind picking up again and all of Newsom's many failings.

on that note: winds are moving south. If they start shifting east then LA will probably be in way more trouble. Fucking stupid that containment has barely budged all day for either major fire.

I swear California is a social experiment to see how much a party can shit on their voters and still vote them into power. California had a chance to recall Newsom but instead convinced themselves a black guy was a white nationalist and voted him back comfortably.

There is a constant attempt by Republican cucks in California. It doesn't mean anything. Pelosi and the rest of the democratic machine don't care because it's a joke.

For a recall election to happen, they have to collect x number of signatures. That number is significantly below the amount actually needed to recall the governor. What happened was newscum kept large swaths of the economy effectively closed for over a year. This allowed them to collect enough signatures to trigger a recall election. As soon as this happened, the democratic machine mobilized against the recall. They did all the usual electioneering, which in hindsight wasn't even needed to make the recall fail. Newscum overwhelmingly defeated recall. There was never any chance of actual change in leadership. At the very best you can hope for the party to support another candidate and you switch from one faggot to another.

Keep this in mind when you wonder why California don't "fight" for their state.

Fuck you niggerfaggot.
I voted for Larry Elder and you fucking think it's fucking easy to move across the state and start a new life?
Kill yourself faggot.

Sad to report that The Heartless have won, and that Sora’s house has become the latest victim in Ansem’s vile plans.
Talk about tragic irony, and I was listening to KH1's Night of Fate track on my phone last night to break the monotony of listening to Sonic 06's Crisis City track.

I hope he can get himself together and rebuild.
Poor Dude. On this I wouldn't judge her too harshly because she mentioned he was burrowed underground, probably hibernating given it's winter. To rescue him they would have needed to figure out exactly where he was underground and dig him up, then haul away the angry tortoise -- and how much do you think he weighed? Maybe they could have done it if they decided to evacuate as soon as news got out about the fire, I dunno.
If the tortoise in question was a Sulcata tortoise (which can weigh between 70-to-200 pounds) then the poor thing doesn't hibernate, it just retreats into a burrow when it gets cold.

If it makes you feel any better then it's worth noting that...
  • The chances of the Palisades fire entering the SFV area is very low due to the fire line set up around Mulholland Drive and the fire retardant sprayed around the area (That said it is moving South towards Brentwood).
  • The Kenneth and Hurst Fires are winding down, both are over 75% contained with the Kenneth Fire being 90% contained.
  • The Eaton fire may be 15% contained but it's not growing in size at this point in time.
  • Any potential arsonists planning on starting any new fires will get their shit kicked in by the various vigilante watchdog groups forming after it was initially reported that they caught someone who was suspected of starting the Kenneth fire.
My family's breathing easy but we're keeping a close eye on things and we have all our shit together if we need to GTFO when the evac orders come out.

This hasn't affected me or my loved ones because we're not stupid enough to live in liberal-infested parts of the state in overpriced fire traps. What we're pushing back on is the idea that all of California is like LA and the Bay Area and that we should let a bunch of faggots who moved here in recent decades control the entire state.

You hate it when Californians move to your state and fuck up your political landscape. We hate it that a couple of cities run ours too. If your state was overrun with California liberals would you leave? Where would you go?

"This is my pet goat coco"
"she got traumatized by the fire, she lost her house...she also has separation anxiety"
"trying not to think about it"
"5 hours later it hit me"
"It sucks, but it's worse for coco"
"it is cold here"
"the red cross is bringing more blankets"

The homeless aren't people, they're political tools.
bigger than that you need to keep in mind HOW deaths are counted. Covid was very educational for this, remember the guy who "died of covid" when he got ripped in half in a motorcycle accident? That was them WANTING to escalate numbers. I assure you they are probably doing the opposite here, maybe just not counting "missing". dissmising people who die from a mix of dehydration, and other shit as "other causes", ect. Theres plenty of ways to cull the numbers to seem less, it all depends on HOW you count it.

Like maybe only 10 were visually confirmed to be immolated while alive, but another 100 were found on the road dead, and another 200 had their burned bodies found but its too burnt to tell what exactly happened, and maybe another 5k people are just fucking MISSING and VERY LIKELY dead, but you insist you need the body to confirm (which has already been cremated)
