Actually only 58% voted for Harris. And if just 10% of voters switch from Democrat to Republican in the next election, the electoral votes would go to a Republican.

California was seen in the late 20th century the way Texas is now, its a mostly red state except for this one blue city, but much like California in the 1980s, Texas is getting way more blue.
No one here would go "fuck em they're all democrats" if something bad happened in Dallas, but its just as blue as LA county is, and the areas getting hit with the fire is as old school right wing as Plano TX is. Obviously its not as right wing as The OC, but they're all blue dogs compared to San Fran and are the Bill Mahar types that would tell the democrats to shut up about the diversity and woke nonsense.

I wouldn't do it, and Newsome can still be used for his fundraising connections or being a talking head, everyone thought Jerry Brown had a decent shot of winning the 1992 nomination too. I wouldn't turn a guy into a martyr when he had such a low shot of becoming president even without the fire.
