It's backfiring hard because at the end of the day these absolute dipshits still don't understand that they are not cultivating any sympathy from people already having a hard time by making that time even harder, they're just breeding lots and lots of resentment. And resentment has a far longer shelf life than sympathy and thrives in far harsher conditions.

To be fair, I refunded Bioshock Infinite because the game wouldn't let me throw tomatoes at the race mixer in the intro. It's pretty deep into the Globohomo slop.

Lol I must have played Bioshock infinite like 20 times before I realized that if you don't throw the baseball at the race mixing couple, they reappear halfway through the game again and give you an extra set of gear/power up clothing. Every time I played I always threw the baseball at them.

They don't care. They don't want your sympathy, they want your submission. They think they have the right to get everything they want, whenever they want, regardless of the consequences. They thought they could just keep grinding everyone's faces into the dirt without anything happening.

You know, I probably never noticed. I guess it really does balance out regardless of what you do - which was a big criticism of the game. That your choices really don't do anything. Like when Elizabeth asks you to pick the cage or the bird necklace. It makes no difference what you pick as it doesn't affect anything.

I like Bioshock. Loved Bioshock 2 and probably have like 300 hours in it. But Infinite is kind of weird. I love the graphics - especially when you go to the museum and have to fight in both wounded knee and boxer rebellion. I thought they did that well. But it gets kind of lame after a while with you just constantly pulling whatever you need through Elizabeth's portals. So I played it a bunch of times when it first came out and then I haven't really played it since. I do play Bioshock 2 quite a bit.

The only interesting thing story-wise that infinite had going for it was the idea that both sides were bad. Both Fink and Daisy Fitzroy. Once notorious cuck Ken Levine tried to retcon Infinite in his Burial at Sea DLC to make it like Daisy was actually good and it was all a plan, I lost complete interest in anything related to it.

I guess Ken Levine's little commie gamer fans didn't like that Ken showed that commies were just as bad as capitalists so he had to retcon and fix that.

I like Bioshock. Loved Bioshock 2 and probably have like 300 hours in it. But Infinite is kind of weird.

Bioshock 2 understood the point of the "steelman a ideology and let the faults show themselves" of the first game better than Infinite. And like I said Levine prety much threw away 2 entire games worth of content during the development of it. A lot of things shown in previews and cinematics never came close to reality and seem to have been abandoned. You can spot so many threads among the game that seem like they wanna take you places but never do, like the Asylum and the glimpse at the future with the attack on New York that never really explains itself or the lack of plasmids/tonics in most enemies outside of a few setpieces. I really wonder what happened behind the scenes to lead to the final game to be like that.
