The gender laws are the reason a woman was even picked in the first place, while the political climate was the reason Sheinbaum in particular was chosen. I don't have the brainpower at the moment to summarize everything that was discussed, but it ranged from the current fires and rebuilding efforts to problems going back years when trying to deal with the CA government. He also goes into FDA regulations, health insurance, and cancer treatments which was mind blowing (he's an accomplished transplant surgeon and involved in cancer medicine). My default is to not trust him because he is a billionaire, but it was a breath of fresh air to hear a man of his stature speak after all of the bullshit that's been coming from the officials in California.
