He is looking at ADHD but little does he realize this will just get him loaded up with stimulants. He knows that Schizophrenia is the way to go but the side effects of heavy medications is a severe draw-back and he doesn't know if a ritual of that caliber can be pulled off. He has hinted that he hears his dog talk to him in his mind and he once told Crisis services that he was hallucinating and cannot take care of himself but its difficult to pull off. He has to level up with lesser rituals such as ADHD. He will likely somehow try to shoehorn this into his ultimate desires but it will likely fail and he will once again have to break character to argue the rules and laws as if a mighty dungeon master will step in to force those meat puppets/Golems to touch his poop.

That list of medications a couple of pages back was insane. At one point or another he's been on just about every painkiller, mood stabiliser and antipsychotic there is, as well as a bunch of other things (parentheses mine). I've tried to translate his deliberate mis-spellings of some of the names.

Fuck me, that's the entire contents of the pharmacy cabinet. They've tried literally everything with Andy. I suspect a lot of his behaviour may be drug-seeking, he doesn't have anything that would justify being given fucking morphine and oxycodone. I bet he faked something. I think there's a chance that he's been on so many powerful psych drugs over the years they've given him a chemical brain injury. Just Topiramate alone can cause permanent damage if you take it when you don't need it, it messes with blood flow in the brain and can cause strokes and seizures.

It seems he was on a lot of these from childhood. Clearly he had severe behavioural problems, some of these meds are basically chemical coshes used to keep crazy mental patients still and quiet and stop them chimping out. Why he's been given all this shit is hard to tell. Some of it may have been a genuine attempt to fix his behavioural problems, but I suspect a lot of it was given for conditions that he pretended to have - the presence of all these painkillers is really suspicious, as is Andy's mentioning of "back pain" that he rarely seems to talk about. I think some of it was deliberate drug-seeking, some was the consequence of his attention-seeking, some of it was earnestly given by doctors trying to see what the hell was wrong with him or at least to shut him up.

I've never seen a lolcow prescribed so much medication. Even the munchies so superbly documented by @Kate Farms Shill aren't on this much medication. Cancer patients aren't on this much medication. Serial killers aren't on this much medication. I know he's not been on all of these at the same time but he's what, 40-something? He's already chugged more pills than some doctors will see in their entire careers.

Actually, @Kate Farms Shill , I'd be interested in your take on Andy. Most internet munchies are female, but do you think Andy's tantrums are the male equivalent of fainting around like a waif on Instagram and insisting your pet peacock is a service animal?

It's the stuff they'll inject you with in the psych ward if you start chimping out. I don't know if it's a "nuclear option" so much as it works quickly, so if injected it can halt a chimpout-in-progress. It does tend to be the first med they try when someone turns up in hospital being crazy because it's the most likely to work in a crisis, but sometimes it's continued long term as well if the patient doesn't get on with other meds.

The thing about psych meds is that we don't really understand how most of them work. Most psych meds don't work for most people, so it's a matter of just trying one for a while, seeing if they work, then trying something else if they don't. So psych patients can go through a lot of meds (the situation is the same with antidepressants and anticonvulsants as well as antipsychotics) before there's any improvement, if there ever is. Some issues in some people are simply resistant to treatment.

We don't really understand much about the brain or how it works. We think our science is so great, but when it comes to psychiatric medication the process is the same as it was in the Iron Age - try potion, see if potion works, try different potion. A lot of psych meds barely function better than a placebo - in some cases meds were used for decades before trials showed they didn't do anything. Fuck, we don't even understand how paracetamol/tylenol works, only that it does.

Within the last month, Andy mentioned some obscure APS law where if there is documented abuse its a stipulation and/or condition for himself getting help. Maybe ol' man Tom will wake up finally and realize that Andy is trying to get his family arrested to prove that he is supposedly abused so he can get what he wants. You have to remember Andy doctor shops a lot, like all the time. Always looking for that once magically doctor that will give him his supreme goal; a autism diagnoses that will somehow, at least in Andy's twisted mind, be his golden ticket to eternal ass washing.

That's probably why he has had such a cornucopia of meds prescribed over the years. Each doctor tends to have their own preferred methods of dealing with mental shit so they all toss different pills at Andy hoping to get the annoying fuck out of their office as fast as possible.

I personally don't think Andy will ever end up in a mental hospital. I think a group home is about the best he can hope for. It's very very hard to get committed these days as the institutions are chocked full already and funding is super scarce. You see real mental cases who are still out on the streets despite years of neglect and abuse of the system. A sack of shit like Andy stands no chance.

Eventually Andy will exhaust all options available to him by being labelled as a malingerer everywhere, his parents will be dead and his family wants nothing to do with him so I see 2 options for him.

1. Real homelessness, Andy out on the street no money, no help. As he's come from a blue collar family Andy's got no experience will real poverty. Sure money was tight when he was at home but he never had to worry about food or heat or clothes. Once he's really homeless he's probably got only months to live on the street.

2. Flip back to being somewhat normal so he can get a job and not die on the streets.

I personally think #2 will happen as we've seen Andy is a plotter and a manipulator/ but when he's all alone on the street. Hungry, cold and desperate. Every door shut to him due to all his shit he will turn off the autism and get a job.

yah yah I know bring on the rainbows but Andy isn't suicidal he's just a lazy asshole who wants attention and if faced with real, honest homelessness he will do a 180. Remember he's been to men shelters before and he hates and fears them so yah that's my guess about his future.

I have a theory, though I'm not a medfag, so... Take it with a grain of Epsom salt.
The one med he talks up in this, Memantine, can cause back pain. I think he's mistaking his back pain as something from when he was hit by a car, or he's willfully ignoring it, so he can continue taking memantine. It's the one medication that reaffirms he's got autism, because it's being used in trials for autistic people. It's normally for patients with Alzheimer's.

He normally pronounces it "momentidy" or something like that, but you can hear it in some of the more recent hospital videos.

I think the most likely outcome in the short-term is that he is going to pack up his bag of tricks so to speak and hop on the Greyhound to find a new victim city. Be on the look out for more body cam footage. He may run out of areas to try and grift but that may take awhile. He is very stubborn so I don't think he will learn any time soon. He has until Feb, and then he is prob going to hop on the bus again. Before you feel sorry for him (doubt anyone here would) keep in mind they actually did find him a group home but they refused him 24/7 care.

Also, to address another issue. If he was doing it just for the medications he wouldn't have to do what he is doing. Its all about that ass wiping and ball washing. If it wasn't he could sit his fat ass up in that group home they offered him and pop all the pills he wanted. He wants them to touch his poo Poo and wash his balls.
