Tabletop Roleplaying Games (D&D, Pathfinder, CoC, ETC.)

Beating @Battlefield2142EU to the punch on this one. I guess he's in bed.
TLDW: One of the designers at Paizo complained about Vance playing Pathfinder. Before the election he was anti-gatekeeping, but now he's all for it.
Why do you guys keep posting videos made by trannies?

Does anyone have any recommendations for solo ttrpgs? I've got D100 Dungeon, Tunnels & Trolls, and Four Against Darkness, but was wondering if anyone else had some more niche ones they'd like to recommend specifically made for solo play. I enjoy 4AD because of the party system.

I know there are guides for playing basically any TTRPG solo, but I find it more relaxing using games specifically designed for it.

that’s a babiniku
That's a weird way of spelling "faggot".
but whatever, fair enough. I'm still sticking with my point that there's a lot of youtubes of guys trying to LARP as women, seriously or not, posted itt

even then, it’s borderline. It’s a known phenomenon and rev doesn’t claim to be a woman and is married.
I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but liking traps makes you gay.

Rev is great. One of those YouTubers up there with Asmongold that makes people fly into a rage about unrelated shit in an attempt to discredit him, but can't point to how he's wrong on the argument. What I like about him is that, most of the time, his videos aren't padded with filler to get to 20-40 minutes.

Speaking of which. The Christian right wing can fuck off from RPGs. No, scratch that, they can have the ruins of what remains of this dead hobby.

Context. I might have mentioned but most of my players have quit. I'm down to three, and two of those are going to quit RPGs after the current campaign, which is wrapping up. In a friend's Discord server there was someone looking for a group and I replied. The conversation went back and forth for an hour of me pitching campaigns I wanted to run and him rejecting them, along with things we do and don't like in TTRPGs. Including that we both don't like current year American political bullshit.

We agreed to a sci-fi setting, but he said he wanted a game based on CS Lewis' Space Trilogy. I'd never heard of this. He said it's about a space Christian fighting evil atheist scientists who worship the devil. The conversation deteriorated and ended soon after. Every sci-fi setting from Star Trek to 40k was "godless optimism" or "godless nihilism". He only settings he likes are The Space Trilogy and Fallout Esquestria. I don't know why that setting is so popular or how Christian it is.

It felt like a waste of time, but I got a post out of it I guess. And while most Kiwis disagree, I'm not a fan of this new media landscape where everything has to be "bible bible bible" all the time.

Fallout Esquestria
Nope nope nope nope nope nope NOPE.
You should consider yourself having dodged a huge bullet as that means he's a Brony, which is the gayest type of furry.

Also, I haven't seen any media landscape outside of CBN and whatever the catholic equivalent is that is "bible bible bible" and really haven't since at least the midnineties so I'm not quite sure what you're on about there, but an all powerful god (who isn't the DM) really makes RPGs dull.

I don't quite understand why someone would want their fictional worlds to be exactly like their personal beliefs. Generally I want it to be very different, hell it is the reason I like evil or dystopian games, it is more distant from how I see the world and my personal beliefs. I dunno, but I think that the PCs being part of the magical space SS, worshippers of the dark egregores of human emotion or criminal mercenaries in a cyberpunk world makes for more interesting roleplay, especially because it is unnatural to the person. Roleplaying yourself but fantasy is fine for beginners, but I think that making a genuinely distinct character and acting them out is infinitely more compelling.

I'm a fairly dedicated Catholic but even I find the idea of shoehorning my religion into a game autistic as fuck- unless it's a historic game like Pendragon which has real world religions in it.
I would say that calling Pendragon historical, or the Christianity in it close to the real variety to be a huge stretch.

He's complaining about 40k but thinks cartoon ponies goring and raping each other in a nuked-out wasteland is any better? It literally is My Little Pony but grimderp.

Ironsworn and Starforged are pretty good.

There's been a bunch of online slap fights recently like GoonerGate where rightoids have an issue with fun, be it anime, games, TTRPGs. I know many in KF are on that side of the debate. While there's no media released like that yet, outside of maybe Daily Wire stuff. The idea that media is going to preaching the bible instead of social justice doesn't seem like a big improvement to me.

This is an early version of it. First time encountering a TTRPG player, online or off, that wants games to be overtly Christian themed.

I had no idea. I just assumed it was Fallout with ponies and the adult content dialed back.

I know a DM who runs Gorgeworld. I don't know if Bronies are that bad by comparison.

Nope. It's infamous for being edgy garbage, and it's absolutely comical he will try to defend it as Christian when it routinely has murder-rape in it.

By his own pathetic affinity grift, he's going to hell. I bet he also likes the Conversion Bureau shit too, which has added fetishes.

GoonerGate
I really don't want gooners in my Elfgames so I'm hardly finding any negatives to any arguments that at minimum keeps from bringing up their fetishes at the table.
go ERP like a normal deviant if you want to goon to shit.

Gorgeworld
My brother in Christ you need to find better people to hang around with holy shit.

What's the saying about continuing to meet assholes?

Brother, we all have multiple stories of dangerhairs, trannies, fags and furries trying coopt a game for their private themes, but you encounter one Christian and you are declaring things are now a theocracy?

I'm not going to lie here I'm more than a little concerned about you seething about encountering morality and the group you hang out with contains all these people running degen furry coomer games.

Bro, Christians have been in these hobbies a long time and there are plenty of converts who still play. The Satanic Panic is over. Pastors aren't trying to launch an Evangelist Inquisition anymore. Find a new windmill.

Also I don't know what Gorgeworld is and don't want to know.

Do you ever just wish people would leave their gay little hangups at the door no matter what it is? I just want to play the game, I'm not interested in personal beliefs or interests in one way or the other, I'm here to have fun and roll some dice, not be preached to about whatever retarded belief system people have about religion, society or sexualitiy and I don't think I could stomach it from a GM or a player.

I know it's a basic bitch take but I run a game and play games to tell and be told fun stories and entertain my friends not to proselytise or be in turn be proselytised.

Sometimes I read this thread and wonder how many people in here even play/run games or just get all their information from second hand rage bait posts from both sides of the aisle.

Our group, despite being made up of people from all different walks of life and philosophies and political leanings manage to get together with no problem and just play games. It's wonderful. Minus the odd comment from someone that breaks the "no sperging" taboo, I am very pleased with how things work currently and wouldn't trade it for anything. Also, they may or may not be degenerate leftist scum but you wouldn't know it based on the games. Very fortunate in this way perhaps but I generally think based on my experiences with other groups that most people can restrain themselves from spilling their spaghetti when chucking dice and killing goblins.
