Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Not sure if i'm late, there's an unofficially reported fire in the heart of LA, noted in in Watch Duty circa 3 hours ago. Burning downhill and being watched, but not yet officially confirmed.

I don’t wanna encourage the schizophrenic posts but I will say that Watch Duty stopped showing me the fire hotspots on the map, even though I have that option enabled. My husband suggested that maybe it’s to discourage looting. If you can’t see where the fire currently rages, you can’t be sure of your physical safety when you go into the red zones to steal from celebrities.

buddy there is alot of my posts you could have replied to with that response and it would have been FAR more valid

fire is the most destructive natural disaster and its not just my opinion on that just think about the nature of others

I have family who lost everything in the Camp Fire and friends who lost everything in the Dixie Fire. You don't need to tell me what fire can do. I know what it's like for the sky to be black with smoke and to have embers rain down on your house.

And it's with that knowledge that I am suggesting you take a break. Seriously.

It is weird but I also haven't been seeing the fires on the ALERTCalifornia cameras, so I really don't know what's going on.
you remember when I posted that picture of the huge aircraft dropping retardant and you could tell it was old footage cause the airplane was retired.

Thats when I started getting suspicious, that was during a high wind event and ALL footage should have been live and even assuming that was a mess up it should be international news that a major American news network showed genuine misinformation during a crisis by intention or not

I read (in an alarmist Facebook post forwarded to me by my extremely boomer mom - so make of it what you will) that the FBI apparently caught elite cartel crews trying to take advantage of the chaos and steal luxury cars/rob banks/etc. in evacuated areas. Apparently the cartels are bold enough to dress up as first responders.

I wonder...

Could this fire have been enough to trigger the complete collapse of public order in Californian cities?

It's incredibly stressful and disheartening, and despite my shitposts in this thread I wouldn't wish it on them either. And documenting what may be going on is a good thing, but spiraling over it in the moment doesn't do you any good. Brains need a rest as much as bodies do.

okay, thank god there's at least one service still somewhat up to date.

4 hours still isn't great, especially given the location (look at that proximity to the tar pits!), but at least there's one service out there that isn't completely fucking dead today.

EDIT: just as I posted this, the site updated the fire to be inactive. I'm guessing it was just put out.

Now I'm imagining the tar pit going up in flames. That would suck.

Bro, you have just gone through seeing your entire conception of reality undone by the unrelenting alien power of Heaven and its natural order. Its obvious you are not in a good headspace. Get some sleep. Alot of sleep. I recommend taking two Benadryl's or a slug of Zzquil. Tomorrow is a new day, and you can face it when you are not exhausted and agitated.

Earthquakes and tsunamis get up to six figures in death toll. No natural fire has done that.

Pretty sure info is being suppressed, on a huge scale.
Don't care if I sound schizo.
Not updating people on where fire is, is a safety issue.

Police/fire scanners aren't saying much, but I know that in a city near where I live sometimes if there's an Event Happening, they'll split the channels and keep stuff private, or use cell phones instead of the radio. The public only find out what's up from witnesses spilling the beans. I imagine LA could figure out how to do that.

Ventusky isn't showing much smoke on their satellite images, but there have been at least two other times when TPTB were trying to downplay how bad a volcano was, when the same thing happened. Satellite showed clear skies and great air quality, livestreams and personal videos from the area showed a smoky mess.

Why are thing being hidden about these fires? Is it just because some politicians got caught in an embarrassing situation?

buddy I have a very different solution but your kind words mean alot.

I got me and my people out by the sweat of my own brow.

I don't want rest I want answers and justice.
Sleep.

Now.

Justice and Answers are tomorrows problems. Problems you won't be able to deal with if you are a hungover wreck.

your objectivity right, I will soon.

Trust your fellow Kiwi to be responsible fore his own well being to a certain degree

but like I say your wise counsel does not fall on deaf ears

That seems like a “satanists are putting LSD in temporary tattoos and giving them to children” boomer chain letter tall tale. The cartels are already richer than god. They’re not going to dispatch elite crews north of the border to steal random cars that they could just as easily buy with money.

One thing about this fire that makes me happy, and shows that the political winds are changing is seeing law enforcement not fucking around and busting looters all over. Seeing the SMPD release photos of the looters they apprehended to the media and to the cheers of the public seems so unthinkable even four years ago.

I also think there's no way Newsom or Bass could ever recover from this.
its because they're literally targeting the rich. these are the homes of politicans and movie stars, people that run for governor live in that area, of course the police actually do their jobs
