Philosophy Tube / Oliver Lennard / Oliver "Olly" Thorn / Abigail Thorn - Breadtube's Patrick Bateman.

More or less as @AssignedEva said: all the best Toob content comes from people enabling him to create utter nonsense. I suppose the reason watching him get away with it is so much fun is that we know the well will dry up sooner or later, but I don't imagine the crash and burn phase will actually be all that exciting. He's a calculated sort of narc. Not the type to have a public meltdown short of a big cancellation event.

Yeah good going Ollie you really "mogged those bitches" on University Challenge.

Well, given is 'Mog' is derived from the acronym AMOG (alpha male of the group), I'd say he mogged the shit out of those bitches.

That's definitely part of it, because he's bad at confrontation. He learned that from ContraPoints, who got embarrassed by trying to argue with Blaire White and retreated into addressing a sympathetic audience or (largely) sympathetic journalists. But I think there's two other factors at play.
He pulled the "I'm just an actor" answer several times during that very friendly interview with Ash Sarkar as well.

The obvious answer is that he really, really wants to tell people that he's above all an actor, and political influencer second -- not the other way around as most people think.

It's quite obvious where he actually makes his living, but I think it's true that he just doesn't know much about most political matters. He has no curiosity nor interest in these things. Even for trannie matters -- which is largely his personality now besides being horny and an actor -- he seems to just have fairly shallow talking points.

His videos are about him being able to dress up and "act" while shallowly regurgitating something someone else said.

The issue for Olly (and Contra) is that his so-called political positions isn't coherent, especially weighing his own background into account.

The truth is that transsexuality is a bourgeoise concept in itself. You spend a lot of money on a new wardrobe and getting plastic surgery to achieve your "goal", which usually ends up pressuring other people to play along with your fantasy. Those that refuse to play along get punished, particularly those of the working class. He's basically trying to create a protected class for himself. Deep down somewhere, even Olly knows the contradiction so he just chooses not to think about it too much.

It's clearly this.
And it makes me more MATI than I like to admit. It's such a manipulative use of language and it's calculatedly so.

Olly offering his profound reflections on American history:
"Why are American cities on grids?"
He might be trying to make a broader philosophical point about order over nature, or colonialism and the exploitation of land or whatever, but off the cuff that's a weird thing for him to be intending to explain. Especially if he doesn't have an easy summary answer already.

There's so many great YouTube videos featuring historians, architects and city planners discussing urbanism and the grid structure. Why is he talking about it? He has no grounding in the topic. Is he trying to court NotJustBikes's audience again? Has he mined Judith Butler dry? It's not that he's incapable of summarising other people's research and arguments (that's mostly what he does) but it's very outside his wheelhouse and frankly it's bizarre for him to try and explain it beyond something like "it was an easy way to divide up newly colonised land in a manner that avoided property disputes, fascinating history, I recommend these channels and these books if you want to know more". Map Men's audience wouldn't want to see them explain the intricacies of Solzhenitsyn’s perspective on moral self limitation, so likewise his audience probably don't want to hear Ollie's take on the Ordinance of 1785. Although perhaps his remaining audience just sees him as a general authority on everything and will lap it up.

Oh it's Ryan! I do enjoy when he pops up. Basically he transitioned during covid and got futa surgery, and changed his American passport to gender "X". But he lives here and went to a gender recognition panel and keeps trying to get them to change his legal sex to non binary. That's not a legal concept in this country, so he keeps getting mad about it because gender recognition panels literally can't issue a certificate that does that, they can only change him to legally female.

His capers with the British state are entertaining. From memory last time I saw him he was trying to get HMRC (IRS) to recategorise him as non binary, and since that's literally not a thing they can do (they did offer to put him down as an F, but they legally also need to know birth sex for a variety of tax law reasons, and so retained the info he's a man) he tried to use GDPR and the "right to be forgotten" to get them to delete all his tax records or something, which isn't how GDPR works, because they have a valid reason to retain that data. He's really funny because he often doesn't seem to understand that we have a different legal system to America and so his tactics literally are unable to work, but goes full Karen about it.

In many ways he's reminiscent of Ollie. I wonder if they've met?

I assume that's where he's going with it, because the actual answer is straightforward and boring - it's a logical way to plan a city and it's been done all over the world since ancient times, so it's not even especially American.

Sounds very cowish. Is he thread-worthy?

Plus I'd say it's because we had to build cities from scratch again as opposed to many European cities growing over the ages in a bit more organic and messy way. So when new cities were being made people were like "it'd be more efficient and easier to navigate if we made everything a grid to begin with". I seriously doubt any of this has much to do with weird politics shit that could be made into a Choob video.

Just say it Choob. You and your totally not venture capitalist friends are very close to declaring a tax write-off.

Also nothing screams girly girl quite like Magic: The Gathering. Is this salt of the earth girl or New Vegas girl tho?
Basically he transitioned during covid and got futa surgery
My curiosity, dare I say, has PEAKED. Mind pointing me in the direction to read his exploits?

Not even joking when I say it's because he's probably thought up some lame troon related pun to do with city planning, and otherwise short of ideas, is reverse engineering a whole essay around it.
He likes Tamsin Greig.
Notably absent in the great snakery /series of pro troon declarations against significant ex colleague, Glinner, if I'm not mistaken.
Crypto terf at the least.

He kinda is, actually. I don't follow him but I'm aware of him and it's always a pleasure to get an update. I'm just not sure he's online enough to fuel a thread; he's pretty active on Bluesky but has an annoying habit of "hiding" his messages backwards in Base64 when addressing other trans people who work in programming. His visit to the Court of Appeals is next week so it should generate some good content (his last visit to the High Court resulted in the pronouncement that "there is no obvious discrepancy between the Claimant’s physical appearance and their recognised gender [of male]" - i.e. it's legal precedent that he doesn't pass).
My curiosity, dare I say, has PEAKED. Mind pointing me in the direction to read his exploits?
Best bet is the Sideshows thread, that's normally where I see him pop up. Maybe we can work on an OP in PG? If he loses his appeal he's on the hook for all of the Government's legal expenses, which won't be cheap because Sir James Eadie KC is on the case - he's potentially looking at being half a million pounds out of pocket.

on't worry too much about shitting up the thread, the PhilosophyTube thread invites this sort of conversation as Ollie both shares a lot of hot takes on this subject matter... and tends to go through content lulls between videos/acting gigs/attempts at relevance.
What are your thoughts on men in women's sports, and the behaviours that drive the need to compete against women? Do you think there are subtypes of these types of men? It seems to me that there could be a number of things in play here, and these individuals tick boxes for exhibitionism, misogyny, narcissism, opportunisim etc. I doubt there have been studies on this because it's a recent phenomenon.

Do you think it's mainly fetish related? Or more based around hatred of women and a sadistic desire to 'punish' or dominate them? Or is it primarily about a desire for medals, as they're unable be venerated high achievers any other way? There's got to be an element of sadism when it comes to contact sports, I'd imagine?

Or do you think it's mainly opportunitism, as it appears to be with Olly and his so called acting? With perhaps sexual gratification an icing on the cake?

If it sounds like a loaded question, it's not. I've just never really thought about it until I read some of the more academic posts on here. I'd previously considered it to be primarily opportunitism, but I'm curious about how involved the fetish is (which would add a whole new element of horror.
Eta
This is the only publicly known example of a woman receiving breast implants on the NHS purely over distress from cup size (and she painted a picture of having had extreme bullying throughout adolescence which caused her to go nuts... although I'm pretty sure she was lying to get a boob job). There's no other example I can find anywhere
Eta
Not a public example, but I actually knew someone personally who had an NHS boob job. She was your standard issue Cluster B, covered in self harm scars and tattoos. She got the implants due to depression over her flat chest. And now, they won't even do laser hair removal for women with hirutisim. This was around 2007ish. I'm pretty sure she said she flirted with the doctor, but who knows if that's true.

Spoiler alert - the boobs did nothing to resolve her mental health issues.

I think it's mostly these two, aka retard-tier troons. The Felker-Martin style sex psychos rarely engage with women who can outrun them.

Is it part of the fetish? Watching AFABs cosplaying Olly?

Lmfao I think even Tube is not so 🌈 as to think there will be any 'AFABs' in the rankings.
Probably didn't even enter his mind.
Unless his fantasy is some rly hot girl, no femboy, some child abused eunuch like pre fat Petras, is going to turn up.
In that case I hope he does think that, and the worst 6'7 gigahon turns up dressed like him. An army of them all wearing his most iconic lewks like a parade of the undead unsexy.

He might have a Contra moment of freaking out that his fans are losers. Losers and dysgenic as well as uninteligent like he already does. We can't all be geniuseses babes!
But irl and acts rudely. Rudes too close to the sun.
