Hilariously enough, no such deal appears to be taken in regards to his actual wife.
Fucking hell, sacrificing your wife and the mother of your children upon the altar for the sake of a washed-up, broke, late twenties crack whore with a double digit IQ and very disappointing tits.

My man is dead set on getting himself killed over a Minnesota 6 isn't he? :story:

Playing devil's advocate here, and as silly as this may sound, but do you think he chose April over Kayla to plea out for due to the idea that Kayla might be in this case way deeper than April, and a plea deal to bust April out may be more possible to work than a plea deal for Kayla?
Not likely. April knows something that might get him in more trouble than giving his own kids coke, and she owns him.

Nick's plea deal contained a provision for the cops to withdraw their case against April

I'm retarded. Does this mean that the plea deal worked out will let April off the hook or just that Nick is offering to plea guilty if April gets off and the judge still needs to approve it.

I guess this let's Nick keep fucking the side bitch because she won't also be a felon and thus the 'don't hang around other felons' probation rule won't apply?

So he doesn't need to get Kayla off because he never has historically, but they're married so it's not like the judge can ban them from seeing each other.

This may be just because Kayla and Nick live in the drug house. April doesn't, and they weren't able to slap her with the full possession charge for that, only the amount found near her belongings and her cocaine covered credit cards. They might have just thought her case was easier to squash.

If Nick's plea deal is approved, April gets to go free. The State asked for April's case to be put on pause until Nick is sentenced.

Yes. They had a harder case with April and it appears at some point the GAL in the CHIPS case got her hands on the hair follicle tests for Nick and Kayla which presumably showed them both testing postive, which makes it hard for Nick to take the full blame. That doesn't mean this doesn't look terrible though.

If Kayla gets the same treatment then you know what, good for you Nick. Right at the start people were saying the man thing to do would be to take the fall.

However if it really is just April, then that is one of the funniest parts of this saga and just indicates either how much more he likes her or how much dirt she has on him. Or both.

So looks like Mindset's comment he heard second-hand about Nick blaming Kayla for all this holds some water. He's totally thinks she should face consequences but not his side piece.
