Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

They’re retards who fake their reviews and are so audience captured you can guess their opinions before they even state them. Ignore them.
i am well aware. i have stopped listening to most channels tangentially related to them for that reason. its all slop that comes out one ear and goes out the other after listening.

Talking about those guys, they recently got a HUGE ego boost, lol

(you can feel Gary being jealous he wasn't mentioned by name)

Off the top of my head. Melonie Mac, DreadRoberts, Trent*, Thomas Sewell**, Matt Walsh***, and a bunch of no names.

*I had never heard of Trent until after GoonerGate, but any mention of him gets dozens of angry comments saying how he's above reproach and how dare I, a filthy atheist, criticise him.

**He went after anime, not games. He was so not-mad about it he made a 3 hour podcast about how not-mad he was.

***Matt Walsh was anti-games, then pro-games. This guy is the definition of grifter. He doesn't have any opinions beyond what is useful to him in that moment.

I know it'd be easy for me to say "I have no idea who those people are" and have that be my argument, but I think the difference between the Left and Right when it comes to censorship is that it really depends on the demographics of the audience on whether such calls are effective.
I'd start worrying about them if they actually had an impact. Just as you highlighted with the reply to comment regarding the interpretation of these people's celebrations, their ultimate goal is to grift and the 'we should censor shit actually' is somewhat untapped - I honestly doubt it's a large market however.
Anita Sarkeesian was a nobody until Tropes vs Women. Zoe Quinn and Brianna Wu were a nobodies until GamerGate.

But I doubt they're going to go into consultancy roles on how to make games "more Christian". As you said, the goal of the left is to push ideology via media. The goal of the right is to stop people consuming media so they can work and prey more. After all, every minute you're not working or donating is not making them richer.

but are instead like holding their genitals in some fucking gross awkwardly positioned way.
I question what porn you're looking at, but I don't want to know.

Hey, guys. I have a solution. FIRE THE FUCK OUT OF THEM.
Unfortunately since they're mostly based in the EU there are probably layers and layers of employee protections that will make that difficult if not outright impossible. It might be different if Tencent buys out Ubisoft and decides to do a lot of restructuring but I don't know for sure.

In America it seems to be a lot easier, I am expecting to see a shitload of layoffs as corporations dump their DEI initiatives.
Because Tony was a patronizing asshole narcissist, but every movie was him suffering the consequences of his actions and/or hubris, which is why his death at the end of Endgame is so powerful. He spent a dozen movies trying to fix his mistakes, and ultimately sacrifices himself in the most selfless act he could have possibly performed.

Captain Marvel just girlbosses from front to back in the most smugly annoying way possible.
Yeah that's what I was driving at: they gave her all Tony's negative qualities without the balance of him being haunted by his mistakes and doing the right thing when it mattered.

The fucker is right. But now the follow up question. Who is this "Kirsche" and will it be information that will instantly make me regret knowing he exists now?

kirsche is a vtuber who has been looking into the "BRIDGE" program which is essentially DEI but more hidden. companies like microsoft have adopted this program in secret when they say they are dropping DEI. kirsche has been discussing this for about a year now.

I wish people would stop saying this but the French government are never going to let the Chinese buy out a massive French company like that. They’re breach all EU rules and pour state aid into it before that happens.

They've virtually chased anyone who had any talent away from the studio they made. No one who's been hired recently has any fucking clue what they're doing with optimizing and compressing games (which is why most modern games are 100+ gigs now). It also explains why a lot of game studios are switching to Unreal 5, given the fact that anyone that knew anything about the original game engine was either chased out due to the toxic working environment these activists have created and fostered, or just people leaving of their own volition. Most good people who actually give a shit have moved on and are trying their hand at forming their own studio and I hope they learn from what failed and gatekeep the fuck out of their new studio.

Only out for a couple of hours and Sweet Babies latest game isn't doing so hot: Hyper Light Breaker

Mostly Negative with alot of people saying its way to early for EA, no plot or setup, combat is stiff, and limit graphics options.

I've bitten the EA lure in recent years because a sizable portion of the stuff turned out to be polished just enough to last until more content's dropped. While I didn't have anything like performance issues on my rig; this has a weird vibe of a gated gameplay demo to demonstrate its core mechanics rather than anything you'd actually pay money for. You don't even get anything so much as an introduction as to what's going on, what anything is, and pretty sparse tutorial information.

Core gameplay is fine; it's what I expect from a 3D elevation of HLD's slash/shoot/dodge style, but it's a bit too tight to be really comfortable. They definitely fell on their face with balancing for solo play, enemy aggression, and any sort of pacing in a procedural world which is meant to become more dangerous overtime. As it stands, your first encounter can be a chunky elite enemy that barely takes damage, supported by mobs, that WILL chase you to the ends of the map no matter how far you try to run because there's no tether to keep them locked into a combat zone. I realize you're meant to build up meta upgrades and cache gear to have a surplus of options to tackle the map over and over again, but it's frustrating enough without even mentioning that you have no way to heal without generated items you pick up.

I'll be straight; I really don't know what SBI could have had a hand in here. There's nothing that checks the usual boxes because there's...nothing. No dialogue, no interaction, nothing. It's just color and noise.

Maybe it's a case of SBI having dirt on the devs, especially since Zoe Quinn "worked" on their previous game as a glorified idea guy.

If anyone celebrates too early, it's because they're either very late into learning about all this shit and have yet to understand the fact that leftists and woke people operate heavily on subversion, or they're fatigued as ruck and desperately want to go back to when they can just consume product without wanting to think about whether product will be any good.

Just dropping by to point out that this has Gearbox's greasy fingers on it (Perfect World Entertainment and Gearbox Publishing San Francisco, now Arc Games). Its shittiness could also be publisher-related, but we'll see.

Does anyone have any experience talking about SBI outside of culture war circles?

Asking because a more mainstream discord server I'm in was talking about the Square Enix threatening to take legal action against anyone who "harasses" Square Enix staff or partners. The "or partners" bit is key because that includes SBI. This immediately got slapped down, and supposedly Square is only doing this to prevent tresspassing on their property, which I assume the police could already deal with, and because of one voice actor/community manager being harassed, but no proof was given.

Yet in places more plugged in, this is obviously a scare tactic to try and reduce criticism of SBI and the crop of games they worked on.

This is similar to the victory lap discussion, where more clued in people say it's not over.

Why not both?

What people don't know is that it's a japanese thing to do this. Japanese Square Enix staff have to deal with harassment and death threats (mainly by other nips) and that's why they are taking drastic action.

They don't have to proof to internet randos that their staff is being harrassed tho. It's also not just voice actors and community managers but people involved in the development of the FF games.

No, it's not. Thinking that it's solely about SBI is really narrow-minded and doesn't take into account that there is actual harassment happening which has nothing to do with SBI.

It's not going to be over until the financial incentive (i.e. Finkbucks) for pushing Marxist ideology is gone, and until the people that were hired based on said financial incentives are purged from the industry.

All that has been accomplished so far is making these companies be less boastful about their woke content - for a somewhat extreme example see recent Ubisoft marketing that doesn't show their nigger samurai at all - but that doesn't mean the content is gone, or that they're not going to make more of it in the future.

What the industry learned from 2024 is not "Marxism doesn't sell" or "antagonizing your audience is a bad idea", but that they need to get better at subterfuge until the game has launched and money has changed hands (like with how Larian bamboozled everyone).

Basically, the lesson they have drawn is that they need to learn how to better scam the costumers, not make a product we want to buy.

I don't think it's solely about SBI, but avoiding criticism of their woke games, and since they specifically mention partners in their statement, and SBI is a Square Enix partner, that includes them. They pull this while every other company is stating they're ditching DEI. The timing seems suspicious. and if SBI has their ear, they could easily have nudged Square in this direction.

So Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League (the SBI game that blew this whole thing up) was apparently going to have content that brought back the dead Justice League members, and it was posted in a motion comic. Given that this was done in such a crude manner like this, I'm guessing it was either going to be in a future season (DLC) that never got made, or was thrown together quickly to try and "repair" the image of this game and get people to play it again. Their explanation for these people coming back - they had clones.

If this truly was supposed to be a future season, what a stupid way to render your game completely pointless - so the main objective of the game is to kill the Justice League... only for them to come back later because muh clones, meaning you didn't even do what is in the damn title. Why even play the game in the first place? Not that you should, but you know what I mean.

critical drinker and gary claiming
Critical Drinker praised GOW Ragnarok, a Sweet Baby game, and when the obvious woke stuff was pointed out, nope, nothing to see here. Ignore.

As for Gary, I respect him going sober after many years of drugs and imprisonment, but his channel is unwatchable for me nowadays. I can only watch the same video so many times telling me Disney/Lucasfilm sucks now. Trust me, I'm very well aware that they suck now and have destroyed Star Wars, and I'm baffled people can watch what is essentially the same video over and over again. Also throwing money at a weekly show which is just a bunch of people yelling over each other, going around the table with their extremely predictable takes on everything. Waste of money.
