Hacking specifically refers to computer systems, it's not an umbrella term that also includes physical pen testing
Hacking may specifically refer to computer systems and such; but the defense and training that goes along with keeping those safe are also associated with physical processes. Sure it's not using computer skills to get into mainframes or whatever; but different places have different needs, and maybe gaining access to a network requires entering a building; or maybe a building is open to the public. Sure it's easy to cut a defining line about "hacking," but when you're doing penetration testing, sometimes they want other security processes tested as well as their logical ones. Agree or disagree, just know it's gonna change depending on who you talk to and why they may use it differently.

When I was playing his shit "game" it is shown in that game that his mother (his main protagonist is a self insert) was a bad guy in his game, hell, it's even a "boss fight" and it is shown as if his mother outrights hate them both, himself and his dad, his dad isn't shown as a hero either but it is treated in a way that he seems to care a bit for him.

One of the dialogues of the mom is arguing with his dad about how he is always coddling him and letting him get his way etc.
How the fuck did this fly over my head when playing the game myself? Maybe because half the dialogue is moon runes.

I mean arguably doxing even falls under the umbrella of hacking depending on who you talk to - it originates from the "hacking subculture".

Reactions: The King-In-Chains
I've never touched FEZ, but wouldn't a "2D platformer that takes place in a 3D world" make it just a 3D platformer with limited movement? By the looks of things, there's nothing about it that's "impossble at the time", just that the concept was new (and then I'm fairly sure the faggot that made FEZ stole it from someone else).
Shawn McGrath came up with the original concept, it wasn't "stolen" so much as Shawn left the project and Fish got more people on-board to help make the rest of the game. The tech is impressive, it behaves exactly like a 2D platformer, it's hard to explain in a text post just how well done it is, but only "impossible" insofar as the fact that nobody had wanted to do that before, as you said. Most programmers would be able to make something similar without referring to the actual FEZ code.

It's also a pretty good game :)

It depends how you want to define it but it generally doesn't exclusively relate to computer systems, it can include phone and access systems too. If you socially engineer someone and still rely on accessing a building using their access device it is arguably still "hacking".

I get that people have their own definitions of it and what a true legit super elite hacker is but for me personally it includes this.
Shit, does Jason know that he could sneak into an elementary school and still call it Hacking?
He's needed some good news lately.

Well I said "using their access device". I think if you use someone else's "access device" you can get charged under the computer fraud and abuse act depending on how much the cops want to fuck you so it would be considered hacking.
If you lockpick the door to get in? Lockpicking is basically under the same umbrella as hacking also.

Like I get hacking purists will want to say what this guy does isn't hacking because he's a faggot but even if some script kiddie gets access to a building or server by typing in "password123" its still hacking. Arguably even if you go to a building and find an unlocked or even open door its still hacking. If you go through the dumpster of a company/person and find paperwork that tells you where and when the unlocked/open door will be? still hacking.

Hacking is just a pretty broad umbrella term and just because something is hacking doesn't mean the person is a super elite 31337 hacker 4 life who can pick up a phone and whistle a baud signal to get into the pentagon and launch nuclear bombs on Christine Westside Chandler's house.

His steam profile dunno if someone's already posted, nothing interesting past the second page.
Posting for posterity.

It’s absolutely still hacking. It’s why their is an entire industry around making sure randos can’t get in or hack your super secure building.

You still need to use a lot of the same tools.

Yes wow has warcraftlogs (there are others but this is the main one), but the caveat is someone in the party has to be logging the encounters on their end, and I seriously doubt anyone in that group was logging
It kinda depends. If they have the Raider.io addon, it starts logging whenever you enter an instance. You could go and poke one of the other streamers involved to see if they'll leak their log files. That being said, it probably won't give you any information that you can't already get from watching the four perspectives we have.

If I cave in your empty head with a brick am I a 1337 h4x0r?

I mean, cave in person’s head to get card that allows you to enter a secure building might be the only way in.

Mald being technically correct does not make him any less of a fag.
Entering a building isn't fucking hacking :story:
That's just trespassing, possibly breaking and entering depending on what you did. Unauthorized access of a computer in the building is where the hacking starts. I feel like I'm trying to prove men aren't women here.

A physiognomic analysis of Jason's face.
Using Johann Caspar Lavater's "The Pocket Lavater, or, The Science of Physiognomy"
OF THE FOREHEAD - "It is by the shape and size of the forehead that we are to judge of the extent of a man’s understanding."

1. When we meet with horizontal lines at the junction of the nose and forehead, we may expect a harsh and unfeeling disposition.
2. If it [forehead] incline backward, we may then anticipate rashness and want of reflection, especially if there be no very remarkable jutting of the bones (brow ridge) of the eyes.

L: Jason, hand-drawn annotated line for better understanding.
R: Lavater's sample for #1.

OF THE EYEBROWS

1737022272638.png

1. Small eyebrows always accompany a phlegmatic temperament.
2. If situated very high, they almost always evince a person incapable of reflection.

OF THE EYES - "It is peculiarly the province of the eyes to declare the emotions of the soul, and to exhibit the workings of sentiment and passion."

1. When the extremity (inner corner) near the nose is acute, it denotes cunning and finesse.
2. If the upper eyelid cross diametrically the ball of the eye (covering the iris/hooded eyes), it is a sign of subtlety and cunning.

1737022666075.png

OF THE NOSE - "[...] Its form and relative position, in respect of other parts of the face, furnish some characteristics.."
(The closest nose I could find to Jason's was the aquiline nose)

An aquiline nose designates an imperious temper, and ardent passions.

1737023025936.png

OF THE MOUTH - "The mouth is the most expressive feature of the face. [...] and almost always represents the nature and disposition of the man."
(It's worth noting even Lavater says there are a lot of combinations to be had here. I'll only give one example since I feel fleshy lips is the most defining feature of his mouth. Despite paradoxically it also being quite small.)

1. If the lips are thick and fleshy, this is a sign of sensuality and of slothfulness; it is always a characteristic of a phlegmatic temper.
2. A mouth frequently shut, lips closed, and strongly marked, appertain to the avaricious.

OF THE CHIN

1. An advancing, projecting chin is always a declaration of energy. When pointed, it often denotes craft (cunningness).

For clarification, the example on the right given by Lavater is described awfully and Jason is literally him.

"[...] this slightly-projecting chin, when accompanied with small, penetrating eyes, denotes the absence of sincerity."

OF THE CHEEKS

1. Fleshy cheeks denote a proneness to sensuality.

TLDR
If you ever had an odd feeling about Jason or people that look like him - you're probably correct.

In one of the shorts that made me think "hey this is a really cool guy, I should watch more of his stuff", he talks about how he donates all the money he gets for unanswered TTS questions on his stream to charity. But now I'm thinking that could easily be a lie as well. I don't have the intelligence to even begin looking into it, though.

Had to create an account just for this post. At first I thought you guys took this shit way too far as I felt like OP is a nothingburger. I was wrong, the guy actually self destructed and this forum barely had anything to do with it lol...
I really thought he was just an egomaniac with a little deeper surface level knowledge about programming. Now I think the OP actually has some merit, since this guy has probably not grown up a year from 2006... or maybe the second puberty is real, since he has the largest midlife teen angst? Good shit, will go back to lurking.
