Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Backwards compatibility confirmed for both physical and digital.
"Some" could mean 80% of games not working on S2.

Now the real question: Will 60 fps be the standard? Will there be free online play/cloud storage? If not and it's still paid; will ALL first-party games have 100% cloud storage? Remember the retardation that was the fucking mind gymnastics to "backup" your AC:NH island?

id imagine its shit like 1-2 switch or anything that requires complex accessories

at a baseline id imagine it would be as powerful as a PS4 Pro (maybe a base PS5 at best but I doubt it) no reason 60fps shouldnt be the standard at least with Nintendos first-party games and no they already had a taste of paid online with the Switch 1, no way do they just revert to free online (especially with Mario Kart 9 looking like the primary launch title), regardless im extremely happy with my Gaming PC at the moment so I doubt ill be getting it

The issue (to rational people) is that Nintendo sells consoles first, games second. The PS3 x 360 war was about console exclusives (and paid monthly sub to some). Nintendo literally announced nothing and already people are gonna preorder it. Nintendo should make a new game for 90% of their IPs every single console generation but no, they make 1 in 5 and then quit making games and let third-party indies keep it alive.

Reminder that AC:NH was "4-5 character models at most run around on a big cylinder". It was 30 fps, and I remember it lagging. I can't imagine they'll leap from that to smooth 60 fps without the involvement of plenty of AI modules and upscaling and shit, just to hit 60 fps lol
I know this is basically just a switch upgrade, but man talk about basic ass presentation reveal.
The reveal for the Switch back in 2016 was GOATed and for good reason seeing how much of an embarassment the Wii U was for a generation.
Also barely any games shown.

thats the issue, without exclusives consoles just became a graphical fidelity measuring contest in 2020 and now that publishers are slowly realizing that Graphics literally cannot get any better then where they are now without ballooning development costs theres now no reasons for Consoles to really exist except as cheaper PC alternatives, Nintendo doesn't have this problem as bad as they at least still have Mario,Mario Kart, and Zelda, but most other IPs collect dust and thats going to be their main problem

All you need is a very good art style to have a game be ageless. Killer7 on PC still looks fantastic because of the simplicity of the art.

I promise to get excited once they reveal games that aren't remakes or ports.
Watched the Metroid Prime 4: Beyond trailer for the first time after the Switch 2 reveal. I'd reckon they held off on releasing MP4 for the Switch 2 release because they knew a game that is functionally an FPS at Switch 1's graphical tier wasn't going to do well. The in-game shots look too high-poly for S1.
