It is always really funny to me when Tony does these endless, exhaustive, and endlessly-repetitive threads on these debates/hearings - he gives dozens of tweets worth of coverage to what could have been covered in three or four tweets if he summarised/synthesised the info (like journalists are supposed to do for their busy readerships). Also note that there is not a single study showing that transgender women who have been on hormone therapy for 2 years have any advantage in any particular sport.
Sports are much better equipped to regulate guidelines than politics, which could result in genital inspections and more.

So, Erin, I get how you are telling on yourself: trans women simply wouldn't be honest so the honour system won't work. But sex testing is not necessarily invasive: a cheek swab is sufficient, and I'm sure you've left plenty enough DNA lying around when you wipe your mouth on a napkin at a cafe.

But also: trans people will not be harmed by sex testing. Getting kicked out of a club where you blatantly lied and in fact do not satisfy the membership criteria does not harm you.

And also: XY individuals with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome, who have usually been identified as female at birth and raised as such, will have their XY karyotype uncovered by this method.
