An unknown Iraqi individual is currently in the news for illegal activities.

According to a video posted, this Iraqi man is now married.

Getting married to a woman, the man is currently married to a 9-year-old girl

This is in lights of the previous news from Iraqi government to pass law allowing girls as young as nine (9) to marry.

Since in the mudslim countries family ties are everything and something like this would get the pedo involved in no less than a blood feud, I'm going to make an uneducated assumption of the girl being a trafficked sex slave.

I wish there was context to this clip, the "article" provided is just several sentences long made by some African that links to an X repost of this video. Obviously there are no proper articles covering this event made by Western media, so I guess we'll never know.

The car in the video shows english numerals on the numberplate. Iraq apparently only has arabic numerals.

edit: also the proposed change of the law hasn't actually been passed as far as I can tell: https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2025/country-chapters/iraq (its still a "draft amendment")

I mention this because the source website for this seems dubious. As bizarre and uncomfortable as the video clip is it may be that its not actually a 9 year old bride but just some clip taken out of some other wedding video?

Surah At-Talaq Verse 4 (Chapter of Divorce)

'Allah' says said:
And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allāh - He will make for him of his matter ease.

Why would they have instructions on what to do if you have sex with girl who has not menstruated if it wasn't permitted? Remember, Mohammad is suppose to be the ultimate example for mankind. They're just following in their leader's footsteps.

*EDIT* Let's drive it home a little more in case you're still skeptical. Here's the tafsir (explanation) of the verse from Ibn Kathir, one of the most famous Islamic scholars for Sunni:

The Iddah of Those in Menopause and Those Who do not have Menses (Iddah = waiting period)
Ibn Kathir says said:
Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. see 2:228 The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause

To add to this, the twitter account that the video is sourced from is an indian account that heavily tries to ragebait about various religious issues (there's a huge conflict between hindis and muslims within india): https://x.com/HPhobiaWatch

There's thousands of indian accounts like these that shit up the internet to try and generate rage/clicks/views.

If the thing is real and he actually married a 9 year old that is disgusting as fuck, but the sourcing of this is less than dubious.

edit: apparently the clip has been blowing up on arabic language twitter as well but someone has pointed out the numberplate/car is from Libya:
