I'm fine with weapons that are "OP" as long as they're fun. The gas passer is the least fun weapon ever added to MvM. You just throw it and everything dies. Boring.

I played the last community MvM tour which featured a custom weapon for sniper that makes the huntsman pierce robots, bounce off surfaces 4 times, and deal 12 damage per tick, at the mere cost of a little tank damage and your ability to headshot. The thing was insanely OP, but I still had fun with it. Meanwhile I've never had fun with the gas passer. Ironically I think if the gas passer were weaker it would be more fun to play with, since you'd still have to rely on your flamethrower.

I wouldn't mind people not wanting gas but those same people usually are cool with unkillable explosive headshot snipers and often but not always the Scottish Resistance so it's often unreasonable albeit I think it's due to pyros often being paste eaters otherwise

The game mode exists outside of Mann Up too. If the goal is just to grind your loot out like you're playing a dumber version of WoW dungeons, it's pretty good. Not very fun for your team or you if your frontal lobe happens to be functional while playing (see also kritz canteen med/demo combos, hitman's heatmaker snipers to an extent). I see people running the gas passer in Boot Camp, what exactly are you rushing to get there? Meta trickles down from retarded gamblers because they're the ones with the widest reach and that's a shame.

Oh yeah, the Explode on Ignite damage, if I remember right, doesn't have a damage type. Meaning, even if you wanted to keep it in the game and figure out some kind of balance, the only way without tweaking the weapon itself with a mod is buff the overall HP of all bots. Thanks, and have fun.

I would better understand some of the disdain for the Gas Passer in MVM if it wasn't for the fact that it's most advent detractors are pretentious pseudo-intellectual gambing addict retards that have wasted thousands of dollars gambling for items they could've outright bought that will scream at you for not using the meta, not playing the class they want you to play, not pressing F4 the microsecond they demand you to, and of course shitting their Marvel-themed underwear over pablo.gonzales.2007 even daring to have the Gas Passer equipped in their oh-so Godly presence.

They should have made MVM tickets drop in the item distribution system instead of being greedy bastards and demanding we shill a dollar for a chance to pull the slot machine lever.

Make all hats drop like slightly rarer items as well. Destroy the economy with no remorse.

The users of r/tf2 are revolting against the mods after one of them (ChaosCrafter908, new mod) removed a joke thread showcasing a handmade Australium Knife citing Rule 1 (All submissions must be directly related to Team Fortress 2).

For a second there, I was questioning if ChaosCrafter908 was actually this guy I've seen on Gamebanana and Facepunch over a decade ago, Chowder908, solely based on the "908" at the end of the name. It could just be pure coincidence, maybe they're both from the same area? Or maybe it's a clan tag. Chowder908 does have a reddit account as well, and is active on it. Not to say he couldn't be running two accounts. I don't know.

Regardless, this ChaosCrafter908 guy seems like a turbofaggot. He's got a subreddit on his profile called r/vaporeon34. Do not visit it for the love of all that is holy unless you want to see "fuckable vaporeon toys". Fuckin' degens.
