Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Also, what the hell is going on with DK? It looks like they’re bringing in the movie design.

The ongoing (((Hollywoodization))) of Nintendo and co-opted Japanese media at large, is something that makes me ill. Seeing Mario and Luigi do the "Pixar/Dreamworks eyebrows" might make me climb a bell tower.
to be fair, the gimmick shit only really occurred with the Wii and its successors.
The Virtual Boy and Yokoi would like a word.

I feel like the soul has left Nintendo since Iwata-san died
It did. Fuzzy Pickles.

Also I think I've just grown out of Nintendo in general. One of the reasons I got a Switch was for Smash Ult, but sadly felt nothing when playing it despite all that fuckin' hype. (What a wild ride those years were. lol)
I'm at that point too. I'm burned out from Mario Kart 8 and F-Zero99. Mario Wonder was o.k. but didn't have replayability. Mario 3D world and New U Deluxe hasn't kept my attention. And all the other game i have I don't have the mental energy to go back to 100% complete. Whatever i have finished fully is Sonic Mania Plus, Mario Wonder, and a bunch of small indie games that not only don't work on my potato PC, but also don't have asinine achievement requirements.

Well that was quite certainly a Switch 2 reveal. So far, I'm feeling quite mixed as just not alot of it was shown so i can't really say anything other than looks kinda samey with the switch 1. Though, I did expect that to some degree. Also, finally a new mario kart about time already. I do think it would've been funny if Nintendo instead of teasing Mario Kart like what was shown they instead showed us a sequel to this game:

Movie DK is closer to the older pre-Rareware art. This is more a case of the design reverting after an extended period of the westernized Rare design being the flagship design for the character.

What is this port on the top? Doesn't look like USB-C like the bottom charging one but I might be wrong

That's USB-C. The Switch currently has a problem where accessories that connect over USB-C can't be easily used while in tabletop mode, so I imagine they added an additional port to fix that. They might also have some other plans for it.

They already flirted with this on the Princess Peach Showtime game's revised boxart. This is really bad, I don't want those faggot ass Pixar-shit art styles to replace the traditional Japanese designs. I swear, Nintendo, don't fuck this up.

That's an optimistic, almost cope-like take. I'm pretty sure they're just redesigning the cast. That's probably part of the reason they ditched Martinet, this might be like some kind of revisionary period for them. Think Sonic Boom, but it actually catches on for some fucking reason.

It's pretty wild Nintendo has been using that 3.5mm headphone jack since the original 1989 Game Boy and we are all still using it today.
They skipped it on certain models in the Game Boy brand, I think GBA SP, perhaps Micro as well, I don't remember.

The GBA Micro had a 3.5mm jack. Only the SP omitted it in lieu of a dongle.

GOOD. Bluetooth audio for videogames is a mistake because the lag problem is not solved, and the quality is still shit (no, LDAC and APT-X HD are not good enough, and even if they were, 90% of headphones don't support it because the manufacturers are cheap and that license costs money)

On one hand, I would have unironically been more hyped for this game than a new Mario Kart. The music in that game was fucking top notch.

On the other hand I don't trust nu-Konami to make a new good DDR game anymore, given their latest arcade output.

This thing here might end up being a problem, it looks very flimsy.

I don't think it will be a problem because of the plastic walls surrounding it. My wife thought the same and looking at the receptacle renders it will probably have the opposite problem in that it will only disconnect when tilted on the Y axis and no other way.
