I think by the time I finally beat the first installment it will be long decided whether or not the second installment is a disappointing turn from what it was. I got KCD Royal Edition on a Steam sale in 2019, a year after its release. All DLCs, most bugs fixed, optimized better. It became one of my favorite games.
There is no need to pre-order, or buy on day 1.
