Hopefully this parasite doesn't turn up at any other major studios. If this is true and the studio does shut down in Feb, let this be the event that removes any lingering doubt among other major devs that DEI and shitting on your own customer base is a death sentence.
Are you telling me you wouldn't want this woke bomb to be put in Ubisoft or EA HQs?

Even his farewell email was unprofessional, self-centred and lacking any responsibility for the mess he left behind. Rainbow me but I'm optimistic that he's not going to get hired any time soon in the industry. All he gave to the world was the legend of pulling a Barve, tanking a major, loved franchise, and the potential shuttering of a studio. Hopefully he vanishes into obscurity along with all the other blue haired incompetents who are ruining the industry.

There must be some hasty rewrites/delays/cancellations about to happen as a result of the recent troon related failures.

Total tranny death.

The studio was probably already raped. making a good game's not some easy accomplishment, if all the actually competent team leaving is what got these people hired in the first place i doubt they could have made something that met their inflated AAA expectations.

The gaming market is oversaturated nobody's spending time playing mid/semi decent games when you can be doing anything else. No room for incompetence, unless you're EA.

Saw the good news. Hopefully the inevitable closure of that studio is followed by the other shortly after and the end of Bioware. It should have been put in the grave the second EA Got its fingers into it.
Realistically, they will never shut down all the Bioware studios. They might reduce them to a single bean counter so the name is reserved and they can claim it was never shut down, but they'll keep Bioware around. Probably put them on Mobile game slop like WB did with Turbine or something.

The writing was on the wall for a while. And Veilguard was just fucking embarrassing.

From a studio whose past games make it a point that you can agree/disagree with party members to the point that they can either either be loyal in the face of an apocalypse or pissed off enough that they leave the party or start working against you...

They end up forcing the player where to listen to an obnoxious Trans character character ramble on about their stupid Genderspecial nonsense. And your only response choices were basically "That's great!", "You're so brave!", "I'll support you!", and "I might be trans too!"

Fucking pathetic. Everyone talented is long gone, it's a husk of a game studio.

Guys, honest question:

I used to be a huge BW fan back then, having played Kotoe and Mass Effect 1 and 2 many times, but never ME3 (got the red ring of death), but I tried my best and somehow managed to stay spoiler free to this day.

All I know about ME3 is that some people generally didn't like the ending, and it even got a alternative ending later down the line to satisfy the fans. From what I understand, it was the beginning of the end for Bioware.

So: is it worth it to give ME3 a go? I'd love to finish what I started 20 years ago, but if it means an utter disappointment (like playing The Last of Us 2 after loving TLoU1), I might as well save myself the time and trouble and just read the plot on wikipedia.

Thoughts?
It plays slightly better than 2. The plot is retarded fan fiction tier shit. They ran out of time and ideas and made 2.5 with what can generously be called a story

It should have been Patrick Weekes, let's be honest. He’s responsible for all the gay gender shit - all that crap about Taash being non-binary, just because he's non-binary, so you have to play through his own special self-insert personal gender-journey where he's a giant horny Qunari woman, and drop and give him 20 if you ever misgender him.

I did enjoy this bit of the announcement, though.

Um, isn't that what you were supposed to be doing at Bioware?
Wait Taash's shit was all his doing? Yikes. Oh how the mighty have fallen....faceplanting so hard they almost go into the earth.

I thought it was one of these troons. Is he the one that stayed on as tech advisor or whatever its called...the one that remains from the previous DA games to make sure the lore is correct?

Arrive.
Destroy franchise.
Leave.
Repeat.

These people truly are locusts.

ME3's writing in general is weaker than the previous two but it doesn't hit truly abominable levels until the ending. The "alternate ending" was just a glorified band-aid that doesn't change all that much.

I don't let it ruin the trilogy for me even though to this day it is still a massive let down. Personally I just pick the red ending, destroy the robot squids and faggot starkid, Shep lives, shit gets rebuilt afterwards. The end.

The troon game director is apparently "quitting" and smashJT is passing on rumors that it only sold a little over a million copies despite a 10 million goal and Bioware Edmonton will be announced to close in February. Per Wikipedia Bioware Edmonton is Bioware's headquarters so I'm not sure how that shakes out.
So now other journo confirm smashjt initial report that this troon is getting booted. It seems like he at least has an actual bioware insider source. It seems more likely that his claim could be true (of course there's a chance that it could be false). As much as I love ME I really hope they close this retarded studio masquerading using bioware name. All the talent that made bioware great is already gone. Now it's full of troons and DEI hire.

Mass Effect got a breath of life (and an actual fucking steam release, yes i'm still mad ME3 never released on Steam in the year of our lord 2025) with the Legendary Edition, and people were excited for ME5, but I honestly think it's best if it just stays at rest. Andromeda was universally reviled, and that was before the DEI bullshit was in full swing. I say, let it end with 3, and let people keep their interpretation of what happened to Shepard. Plus, ending with 3 does them a favor and saves them from having to decide what the fuck happened at the end, and whether or not anything that happened after Harbinger blew Shepard to hell was some kind of hallucination, delusion, or just flat out indoctrination
Agreed. They couldn't end the series satisfactorily in 2012, what makes anyone think they can do it now in 2024? In their current state no less. I'm a firm believer that franchises should have a beginning, middle and end. They invariably turn into the Simpsons if they aren't allowed to end gracefully. Once the original creators are gone from the studio, it's just new people wearing a skin suit of the old studio anyway.

We might not even see ME5, holy shit.

They deserve it.
They will probably play the musical chairs and turn another studio into "Bioware", like they did with the one that they renamed EA Motive.
bioware is the ea company that just wont die Optimistic as bast.
Yeah, Bioware as a name will never disappear. It's the LGBT hugbox studio of EA.

I'm disappointed that Dread Wolf's birthname was scratched from the thread title and his chosen name "Veilguard" included instead. I thought we all agreed on not affirming his "gender exploration". I, for one, will continue to deadname him after his untimely demise and, while we're at it, let it be said that, for once, it wasn't suicide, it was murder.

why can't trannies make games that sell? Blacks got rap music and the like and that sells across race lines. Same with gays but why is it that the trannies don't know how to market 🤔
Rap music sells because jews found a way to get white people to buy it. Troons just haven't worked with the tribe long enough to find the winning formula.

Rainbow me but I'm optimistic that he's not going to get hired any time soon in the industry
A couple of years ago he'd have been able to walk right into another high-ranking position at basically any Western studio, but with so many of them currently scrambling to dump DEI initiatives he may be in for a surprise.

Even then I'm sure he'll just found his own studio and get a shitload of grants and government funding to make the next Dustborn.
There must be some hasty rewrites/delays/cancellations about to happen as a result of the recent troon related failures.
Sony have just announced they're axing another 2 of the live service games they had in development, although that's probably in response to Concord rather than troon stuff specifically, but it does seem like the industry is starting to shift.

I wouldn't bother getting excited though, even if you could remove every diversity hire from gaming there'll always be something new waiting in the wings to shit everything up. My bet is publishers attempting to use AI for anything they can to save on hiring costs and they'll lose millions before realising it was a bad idea.
