Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

If you ever wanted to know what uninspired analog horror would look like as a video game, here you go:

You could see the clichés from a mile away. The comments are, of course, full of people who say you should not criticize something you dislike.
What are you talking about? I keep scrolling and everyone's making fun of it.

Another Night Mind video about a spooky video game unfiction
But this one’s special.
This one is about some mentally stuck in highschool faggot who lost his boycrush he used to play gmod with in a car accident, so then he supervillain transformed into the type of 20 year old guy who hangs out with 15 year olds online.
Then there’s a ghost in the machine who is using these videos as a way to contact authorities to get his ass arrested or whatever this thing is boring as fuck I prefer interloper.

There's something immensely hilarious about the moment where he's confronting the entity and is just furiously typing out how he's gonna 1v1 it with the in-game weapons.

This is just Happy Appy for zoomers.
Happy Appy is hot garbage and one of the worst stories of the creepypasta era and it STILL MOGS these zoomer ""horror"" games/stories. Even in their absolute worst creepypastas are either poorly translated stories that make no sense or edgy rape/gore fests that were clearly written by a teenager during their summer break, but at least they were entertaining to read and make fun of. Zoomer horror at it's worst is just a nothingburger boring story you've seen 100 times already (with no controversial elements of course!!! Gotta keep it wholsome folx!!!). And all of this is the result of retards complaining incessantly about violence/rape in creepypastas, saying "this is insensitive and wrong!!", so now everyone believes they have to overcorrect and follow the writing principles of low Iq zoomers who think empty fields and office spaces with yellow carpets are the scariest pieces of media ever made. Moralfagging and it's consequences man*sigh* .

Bad creepypastas often copied Jeff the Killer, Sonic.exe, or Squidward's Suicide, but they at least put their own dumb twist on things. They also found new ways of breaking the English language. All analog horror series are identical. A critique of one series would apply to every other series due to how often they copy ideas from each other.

Also, were there really any good creepypastas? I can name only three: Candle Cove, Psychosis, and Ted the Caver. Psychosis had a good story, but I thought the writing was poor in some places. Read this excerpt and count how many tag lines there are:

"Hello?" I asked, immediately fighting down a small shock at hearing the first spoken voice in days, even if it was my own. I had gotten used to the droning hum of the building's inner workings, my computer, and the soda machines in the hallway. There was no response to my greeting at first, but then, finally, a voice came.

"Hey," said a clear male voice, obviously of college age, like me. "Who's this?"

"John," I replied, confused.

"Oh, sorry, wrong number," he replied, then hung up.

I lowered the phone slowly and leaned against the thick brick wall of the stairwell. That was strange. I looked at my received calls list, but the number was unfamiliar. Before I could think on it further, the phone rang loudly, shocking me yet again. This time, I looked at the caller before I answered. It was another unfamiliar number. This time, I held the phone up to my ear, but said nothing. I heard nothing but the general background noise of a phone. Then, a familiar voice broke my tension.

"John?" was the single word, in Amy's voice.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Hey, it's you," I replied.

"Who else would it be?" she responded. "Oh, the number. I'm at a party on Seventh Street, and my phone died just as you called me. This is someone else's phone, obviously."

"Oh, ok," I said.

"Where are you?" she asked.

My eyes glanced over the drab white-washed cylinder block walls and the heavy metal door with its small window.

"At my building," I sighed. "Just feeling cooped up. I didn't realize it was so late."

"You should come here," she said, laughing.

"Nah, I don't feel like looking for some strange place by myself in the middle of the night," I said, looking out the window at the silent windy street that secretly scared me just a tiny bit. "I think I'm just going to keep working or go to bed."

"Nonsense!" she replied. "I can come get you! Your building is close to Seventh Street, right?"

"How drunk are you?" I asked lightheartedly. "You know where I live."

"Oh, of course,” she said abruptly. "I guess I can't get there by walking, huh?"

"You could if you wanted to waste half an hour," I told her.

"Right," she said. "Ok, have to go, good luck with your work!"

I go through phases and binged all of nexpo and some others videos at one point. Love that type of YouTube vid.

Don't pin this all squarely on zoomers, it all ties back into Advertisers causing large social networks to kike out and censor their platforms so that they wouldn't loose more money. Punishing edgy and unwholesome content = less money for creators = more censorship and having to use retarded weasle words like "unalive" to keep their checks, ergo zoomies watching said censored nuetered content will form nuetered and censored opinions.
Do you think kids who grew up in the 00s/10s were edgy because YouTube clamped down on edgy content then?

The problem is the use of words like "unalive" is very recent and only happened because youtubers don't wanna lose money from their videos, like you said. BUT by that point the culture around horror had already shifted. You can see it form 2016-2017 videos that people were tired of "edgy" internet horror and wanted something with more "substance" that isn't just murder and dead kids or lost episodes. So an entire generation of kids grew up not with creepypastas and all their faults but with youtubers and bloggers complaining about the quality of (specifically) bad creepypastas. So in the end it's both the advertiser's and the zoomer's fault. When the complete clamp down on horror happened they didn't push back at all because they were already ideologically compromised. In their eyes saying "unalive" to keep their mediocre channels afloat is no big deal, because this is the enviroment they grew up in: An enviroment where self-censoring is a necessary evil and horror stories have to be safe and clean because their "internet daddies" told them so.

Personally I really liked the Russian Sleep Experiment, Normal Porn for Normal People and Anansi's Goatman. All of these sdtories have some issues though; Russian sleep exeriment is great until the ending, Anansi's Goatman is a bit too long for what it is and Normal porn for normal people is more bizarre than scary. Other stories I personally enjoyed but remember very little of are: Necrosleep, Penpals, God's mouth and String Theory.

It's supposed to look like an arcade minigame from Five Nights at Freddy's:

It's specifically going for The Walten Files. It came out around the same time as episode 3, with the haunted arcade cabinet and farm theme.

I think it shares some voice actors, too.

Sick of the retraux slop.
I'm of this opinion too, not just because of oversaturation, but because no one seems to make their attempts at it genuinely faithful to the technology of the time it's supposedly from. For example, a lot of EAS scenarios nowadays have oddly 'fuzzy' audio that's just a mess of mumbling, which makes it a chore to listen through. This is completely unlike recordings from the 1990's and 2000's of the EBS/EAS in action (and these are very easy to find, thanks to the EAS community eagerly archiving stuff and hunting for rare activations), which show that the audio source used to convey the message is clearly audible and not a complete mess.

Legit question, does Walten Files do anything original? From everything I seen, it is just FNAF beat for beat.

The Walten Files is the retarded twin of FNaF. Here's a good critique of it:

I barely even glanced at the comments and I'm suffering from hypernatraemia.

Are there any other critiques of current Internet """horror""" series, or the genre as a whole? My searches on youtube's atrocious, garbage-filled engine basically only brings up zoomer faggots shitting on The Painter.

They have a tranny voice actor, I believe playing a lesbian character (in the narrative), I doubt Scott "God Hates Fags" Cawthorne would allow that in his games

I wanted to like the Walten Files and tried giving it a watch when I noticed it gaining traction, but in my opinion, it's hopelessly overrated. There's no real substance to tthe attempts at building an atmosphere, either. Rather than feel even the slightest bit unnerved, I found myself just waiting for the attempts at jumpscaring to end, mainly because they're telegraphed to all hell.

You can spot them from a mile away; the action suddenly comes to a complete stop, and there's 15 to 30 seconds of nothing (or in some cases, bad voice acting in the background) then boom, a shitty photoshop of someone with melting facial features while you have to turn down the volume for another 30 seconds because the audio's been raised to earrape levels. Kids might think the visuals are scary, but I just find them funny because they remind me of the exaggerated facial expressions in TF2 GMod animations from over the years.
