It's actually much worse than it ever has been because now it's just a place where people passive aggressively and "ironically" making SJW/anti-SJW esque shitposts. And it's just page after page of overwrought limp-dicked jabs at ridiculous straw men that goons set up themselves.

Maybe like 3 posts on a page in every thread have someone who is actually trying to say something or make a point, not just be the center of attention of all the other retards in GBS.

Before, it was a SJW haven bullshit but they were spergy enough that they wanted you to effort post. But they were still banning for wrongthing and upsetting people so they decided to get rid of efforposting to bring in jokes, and it was okay for a while, it was still all shit but occasionally something funny would float to the top of the shit heap. Until they decided they were getting offended at jokes again because one of the mods was fat and had two dads so "your momma's so fat" jokes triggered him into deciding that the jokes had to go. But only the bad jokes. And they werent going to bring back effort posting because theyre above that, and a little bit too cool for it.

So now they've stripped away effort posting, jokes, and the ability to speak your mind and have wrongthink. Theres no reason to go there, it's basically an empty shell, devoid of anything, except dumb bullshit. It's literally a ship of fools. A circus of shit. Clowns "ironically" farting in each others' faces and acting like it's funny because theyre only pretending to be retarded.

I think it's funny that, despite the back and forth banning and unbanning of shitty people that's going on, no one seems to care about her getting banned and no one considers her a talking point in most of this because she's kind of irrelevant in the scheme of things.

Yeah that's why the solution isn't as simple as making your moderators not be terrible. The community itself has been shaped by years of it. The Leper's colony has slowed down which is good but you are just relocating combustible items out of your already completely on fire house at this point.

The funny thing is people give Lowtax plenty of constructive criticism every year or so when he stumbles into GBS complaining about money but he never does any of it.

One thing would be to take ZDR and have him make it so banned posters could see and post in a special subforum to ask for clemency. If enough people found out about it, since goons tend to stick in groups, you simultaneously see some of the more hilarious reasons people were kicked off the site and bring people who were dumb enough to pay for it in the first place back to be dumb enough to pay for other things. 11% (22,000) of the members have been banned.

Another thing would be to monetize the existing people further by selling merchandise a ton of fat, autistic, unfunny computer science majors would buy by the truckloads. Some faggoty grenade XXXL shirts for $20 would probably make him a millionaire.

Nope. Dick all has been done and I bet the only reason Lowtax is pushing for upgraded forums is he posted here and saw some of the features that exist in the 2000s now. Trying to post on both sites at the same time is a stark difference even in terms of quotes, drafts and usability.

That's kind of how thing go in SA generally. Some mod, admin, or user will make a total ass out of themselves and ruin good threads--but you have to tolerate it because they're on Team Goodthink. Then the second said idiot is banned or leaves, the users unclench their buttholes and shit all over them openly. They go instantly from "Thank you sir, may I have another?" to "Fuck that asshole! I never liked him!"

There were mods and admins openly threatening to leave in the Shmorky thread because Lowtax said naughty nono words on Twitter. They wrote the words and hit the post button. That's like a troon posting pictures of their mutilated dicks on E/N and then crying "I didn't MEAN for the public to see my mangina when I posted it on a public forum!"

That bit with Assange is pretty great, too. It's always fun to see leftists who hate the government for its imperialism immediately believe accusations of rape against one of that government's most hated enemies.

SO when Lowtax finally OD's on box-wine-mangostein-ambien and goes to the big FYAD in the ground, I hope he has good life insurance so his kids can still go to school with that money, because it sure as hell won't be on the income and dividends SA provides with it's current management or that momma-tax can earn shakin her ass at "Show Me State Show Girls" off route 8
