Wait up, I might be kinda retarded but doesn't Roth v US actually uphold the legality of most forms of phonography by introducing the "redeeming social importance" loophole as a distinguishing factor from obscene materials with the boom of the pornography industry in the 70s as a direct result?

Really it was Miller v California that opened the floodgates. I'm not for banning all nudity. Artistic nudity was covered by Roth. which is why I think it's a better ruling.

Mate, the works of Robert Maplethorpe were literally deemed as artistic nudity in the 70s and the aids-ridden faggot was known for photographing extreme gay sex. The artistic nudity excuse might be interpreted a bit more loosely that you think. But sure, it's such a good anti-porn ruling.

which is why we need "redeeming social importance" as a clause. Robert Mapplethorpe's works were mostly in the 80s after the Miller case. his first work was one year before the miller case in 1972.

Most of my argument hinges on the internet as well. At this point traditional print media isn't a major player.
