'No Stupid Questions' (NSQ) Health & Fitness Edition

Yes, it's also suggested not to mouth breathe during the day like a retard. Something something acid and gas particles can cultivate bad shit on your tongue and teeth if you're venting exhales through it too often.

Are you really supposed to wipe your ass after taking a dump? I mean, animals don't and they seem to do okay. Isn't the anus supposed to be self-cleaning??
A lot of things in life are things that we don't really have to do so you can choose not wipe your ass after shitting. But ask yourself this, are you willing to live with poop stains on your pants or shorts?

About a year ago, I had to get a root canal from an abscessed tooth. The orthodontist said that the size of the abscess meant I might have to get a procedure to fill the empty space. Here I am a year later just remembering I was supposed to call them for a follow up 6 months after the root canal to check if my jaw is healing properly. How screwed am I?
is 10kgs too much for a jelqing newbie?
Serious answer: any amount of jelqing will damage the nerves in your dick. Guaranteed erectile dysfunction.

Two things -

How do you fix muscle pains in your back and neck? My muscles are killing me every day now no matter what position I am in and painkillers don't do much to stop it. I'm often so tired I fall asleep on the couch which doesn't help, and my job working on computers and carrying heavy things makes it much worse. Any ideas?

Also, what is the best way to deal with itchy legs and dead skin? I just use soap and rub it on and it sort of helps, but it doesn't take long before it comes back again.

Working out.

I had the same issue, all coming from shrimping in front of a screen for decades, tunnel syndrome, all that messed up my neck and working arm nerves. Been going to gym for a year, doing much better. This is actually a dumb question I came to ask here, though possibly it's a wrong thread, but I'll give it a shot:

Something tells me I don't actually need to pay for a gym or a personal coach, exercises I'm doing come off as really simplistic. I'm thinking about looking up some crash course (not sure what to look specifically for though), and then just doing things at home. Asking my coach about this didn't go well, I'm assuming because she doesn't want to lose a stable paying client, she basically got a bit offended at me implying I can do this alone at home. But again, things I'm doing come off as really basic, like, "I can look it up on YouTube" level basic, I think we had this stuff in high school. PL but I didn't attend PE classes, so I don't really remember much what others were doing.

So I'm asking for an advice, and, if anyone knows, channels/courses they can recommend. I don't know all the exercises I do by name except for one, but they're really simplistic. The only thing I needed help with is being reminded to keep kneecaps apart when doing the "good morning" exercise, or reminder to relax my shoulders when I'm lifting dumbbells since I'm supposed to work with my shoulder blades instead. That kind of stuff. Is there even a name for these types of exercises?
Also, what is the best way to deal with itchy legs and dead skin? I just use soap and rub it on and it sort of helps, but it doesn't take long before it comes back again.
Using scrubs has been the solution for me. Or soaking for an hour and then scratching myself, but it takes some time.

That's exactly the same issues that I have, my wrists are all fucked up as well, computer usage must be incredibly bad for us eh? Did your wrists improve? I get sharp pains even holding a mug.

You soak your legs in a bathtub for an hour and then scratch your legs clean?

I can't help with DIY exercises, if you have been doing it for a year you would probably be quite good at doing it on your own. The last time I tried to do push ups I pulled a muscle in my back and I couldn't lay down so I sat on my computer chair at a weird angle watching Darksydephil clips until I finally drifted off at 4am.

Yes, my condition improved drastically, and I have had my whole upper right body messed up by shrimping and pretty much ruining my working arm 24/7, be it through gaming, assorted fine motor skill hobbies, or even simply cooking on daily basis. Gooners don't goon as much as I strain my arm by knitting for 14 hours straight or something. That improved though, although my main issue wasn't in the wrist itself but rather pinched nerves going up to the neck, shoulder blade, ear, and even my right sinus. Working out two times a week helped, and I'm expecting it will improve, even if I will do exercises at home. Thinking about getting a vertical mouse, that should minimize the strain too.

I soak myself as a whole. :) Not really anymore, since I currently don't have a tub, but instead I just sit in the shower long enough to make it easier to scrub myself.

IIRC pushups are not beginner-friendly exercises. I still can't do them, and it's been a year.

Shrimping is hunching over the computer right? It's very hard to keep a good posture when you are using a computer all the time. Doing 14 hours of knitting would be killer on the nerves for sure, and that sounds awful having the pain go all the way up to your nose.

Glad to hear it is getting better through exercises. I think a vertical mouse will make playing video games very hard.

I also just use the shower, I'll try and soak my legs for longer and scrub them down hard.

There is the easier form of push ups where you get on your knees or something, maybe that would be a good way to get into them.

The thing I worry about is if you go to the gym after not exercising in so long you are going to pull so many muscles ouch.

Remember to take walking breaks and stretch your wrists, people!

I have noticed I have early carpal tunnel and started stretching.

Standing up and walking after 30-60 mins relieves pressure from neck/wrists.

Getting a cat did wonders for me. Bored as fuck on PC? Rather pet the cat than sit here. Suddenly I've spent an hour on the floor with that thing which probably isn't much healthier.

In general, the more lax you are about your time, ie. not minmaxing it on games or shit, it's a lot easier to go "I just ate and ain't got plans. Guess I can stretch". I followed a bunch of thots on youtube but that shit was too narrative-based. I found some guy who gave some moves and some sets and now I do those when I'm bored.

There's this black guy who calls himself the GAMER DOCTOR on youtube, friendly sounding guy, who does a bunch of hand stretches. I never got to the point of having them memorized and doing them as I do stretches but that'd be a good idea. Standing around? Stretch those gooner digits.

Would it be super crazy if I learned how to sterilize exacto knifes and remove cysts.

I have a lot of cysts. Some are very painful, some sit for a LONG time then become painful.. some go away some don't. I don't have insurance but even if I did it would be so much bullshit to go to a doctor every time I had one.

I had one for like 7 years and one day it got infected, I went to the ER the numbed it (didn't make a difference) and popped it.

Not to powerlevel, I'm not a skilled medical professional but I have super base knowledge enough to know basic wound care and infection control.

I think a few scars is better than a giant lump.

I've been eating at a ~500 calorie deficit (~500-1000 on fasting days), and have been walking a lot (about 10,000-12,000 steps on workdays). Yet I feel like I haven't been losing weight. What else should I be adding so that I can shed some pounds?
