Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

This. I mean no disrespect to people who do these jobs, but a lot of low level retail/stocking type jobs require no more than a basic understanding of the language used at work and basic physical mobility. I think Chris is amply qualified.

The problem Chris has is any job takes some effort to get and some effort to keep. When he does a cost-benefit analysis of doing this versus keeping the tugboat it is not worthwhile.

The thing he misses is the respect factor. If he had a reasonable work history he would address one of the major flaws that others find in him.
A lot of time in retail you have to lift relatively boxes (~50 lbs., dog food and kitty litter are often culprits too). Since Fatty could barely lift Patti's doghouse, it's doubtful he could work in a supermarket or somesuch.

I wonder, what kind of real job could Chris hold? Maybe even enjoy.
Making his Sonichu and Rosechu franchise Official, with getting paper published at Archie, Marvel, DC or Dark Horse Comics, with continuing work as Comic Book Artist and Story Creator/Editor, good pay, eventual Official Sonichu and Rosechu Merchandise that he, personally, can officially sign-off on and further enforce his nine-year-old copyright with a more peaceful future.

"Liquid: Oh yeah, speaking of the pistol, Kacey showed me the comic, where you supposedly shot me! Yeah, and I am gonna take that to the police, because that is conspiracy to commit murder and that is a felony!
Chris: Well, who are they gonna believe? You are not the— You are not Christian Weston— You are not me! You are not..."

So apparently, if Liquid's not real, it doesn't matter what Chris drew.

Liquid Chris was the best act in all of Christory. His voice was just so hilarious.

Fast food. Stocking shelves in a grocery store or a drug store. Etc.

So his dream job is to be a heavyweight? I've been one of those before, and it sucked. Pay was shit, and there were plenty of bullies who were my coworkers. There are plenty of chances to be lazy though, but you gotta know when the supervisor is passing through. I once knew how to climb on top of the walk-in freezer. I don't think Chris would ultimately enjoy it.

Is there much known about Bob and Barb's wedding?
Was it a hurried, vegas style justice of peace wedding? I sort of get the sense it was.

I was thinking of being a mascot for a small store. Nobody would notice the smell, he could dress as a cartoon character, pace back and forth for hours while holding a sign, and he could be in his bra and miniskirt because it'd be hot inside.

Meh. I don't doubt that there are some jobs Chris does not have the physical strength/endurance to do. But there are lots that he does. He could do most of the jobs in a supermarket. There are trolleys and lifts to help with moving stuff around, and the any really heavy manual lifting is generally done either in pairs/teams or by one or two people who specialize in strength.

I have often maintained that if Bob had put his foot down and instilled in Chris the necessity of working, he would have a decent work history of low-level employment. I know he is lazy, but he is also impressionable. If one of his parents said something like "If you don't have a job by this time next month, we are changing the locks", I think it would have worked. He was taught that he needed to pay things like the electricity bill, and he did.

An office job where he can play vidya and watch videos all day instead of doing actual work. Kinda like what Peter Griffin does in Family Guy.

Yeah, and he comes home to a hot wife, a "hot" Meg, and has a talking Patti 2.0! It's his ultimate fantasy.

"Mmm, yeah... Dis here i- is my- dis is da store's display... of... da legosss. Hmmm... I built all'a dese here models by my own two hands with ELBOW GREASED strength! Do not touch them, small children who are my store's primary consumers, and disre- disrespect and MOCK my creativity!!!"

The only detail we have is that Cole gave her away during the wedding (I think I recall Chris saying this, not certain, though.)

I don't want Chris doing jobs that require safety, like operating a lift.

He could push a broom, though.

How could you expect Bob to do that, when there was so much "I Love Lucy" and "Gilligan's Island" to watch? I think both thought Chris too hard to actually "deal with" so they just did whatever they could to keep him out of their hair.
As to jobs Chris could do? Whatever it was Milton in Office Space did, Im sure Chris could do fine. But then again, Milton was amiable enough, and sort of cared about not pissing anyone off...

I think Chris could make a bit of money as a Let's Player. I'd love to watch him suck at games while rambling on. Of course he'd be too lazy to set up and edit recordings.

I wonder if he'll bother streaming gameplay when he gets a PS4.

At my local grocery store, theres a nice guy who collects the carts and empties trash, etc. he has downs syndrome. One would think if he could do that, so could chris. Its something a think about every time i see him. Once, he was struggling with a trash can, and i offered him help. He didnt take it. Therein lies the difference. I bet chris would be all pissy if people didnt help him, and would treat customers like jerks, scare children, and harass every woman he saw. Its not just what he could or would do physically, his behavior would probably be appalling.
