So he did all this stupid set up changes because a windows update "bricked" his Webcam. He then tard raged about how windows shouldn't force updates for this reason. He was then told he could revert updates to fix problems like this. But he won't do that since he said "it updated for a reason." He really just complains to complain huh
This isnt 1994. Since when has Windows updates “brick” a piece of hardware?

To be fair to Phil in the past Win 11 updates always resetted settings (I always had issues with sound settings, i usually had to reset them). Which then also affected Streamlabs. Though that hasn't happened for a few years now. Either Phil misclicked and deleted something important and blames it on Windows Update or he just had bad luck

Let‘s be honest: Phil would fall for the “delete System32” joke.

Anything “bricks” your computer when you don’t know technology like Phil. He said the update ruined his camera. Lol how is a software update does that go a camera? Lol someone suggested him using linux instead of windows. I really want him to try Linux.

Btw just perusing the replies to his "Win 11 bricked my system" tweet and he gets shit from basically everyone Here a few examples

Some also just say "Restore to the previous state". I think Phil didn't know what that means

Windows updates are famous for breaking shit because there are so many hardware configurations and software modifications people run, Dave's not actually in the wrong here. Ask any guy who runs IT support and they'll tell you how much they hate Windows.
Windows probably updated the camera's driver and that borked stuff.

It's not unheard of. I suspect but haven't proved a Windows update once "broke" a micro SD card reader on a tablet I was going to replace. It would be the first time I ever saw a Windows update break something. Of course that was a really old computer, so shrug?

In fact, part of my job used to be testing Windows updates before they were rolled out across the office.
