He is immune from conviction/sentencing but not investigation and testifying. As the pardons were blanket pardons, he actually has lost 5th amendment protections from testifying. Even though the pardon would negate a conviction, justice still must prove the crime was done by the individual, and that the pardon then covers the crime. Taking it to the extreme, lets say someone was murdered, and the likely killer was pardoned immediately before the investigation was complete. They would still need to complete the investigation, evaluate all evidence and testimony, to make sure who was the killer.

Some will see this type of task pointless if there is no sentencing that can be done, but the kind of truth can be damning to the democrat party for decades. If it comes out in testimony etc that people like Alex Jones etc were correct about the corruption and coverups around covid (Or other things) that will be used for decades against them. The politicians who supported those actions will also face backlash.

There is also the real likelihood of someone refusing to testify and being found in contempt, or lying in their testimony and being found guilty of perjury.

So while the individuals are protected from prison sentences for their actions, they are not immune from investigation. The greatest at risk are the establishment that are protecting those pardoned, or were supporters of actions of those pardoned.

Its going to be phased, like many things in history. Depending on the trajectory of the second Trump administration, it may not be widely seen as a negative until the 2040's - Right around the time the children who chopped their dicks off and flooded their body with the wrong hormones start to suffer serious complications of being chemically imbalanced eunuchs. At that point, it won't be a blame game on those who did it, only a blame game on the inferior medical technology of the time. This will be to encourage vast amounts of money to be dumped on these retards to 'fix' them in a new generation of health cash grabs from people easily manipulated by their emotions.
