2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

in 1967 people cared a whole lot less about soft pawing the enemy. Look what the US did in Vietnam between 55 and 75. The US allowed 60k US deaths in a foreign country, many of whom were drafted and did not go willingly. We coated the jungles in Agent Orange and fucked off leaving retarded mutant babies in our wake.
….And you lost

The example you gave refutes your own argument. This is such a pointless comment.

One small city and a pile of rubble that you failed to conquer after a year and a half with cutting edge military technology and bottomless support from the wealthiest and most powerful countries on earth.

It's stupid comments like this that make me wish Israel had just carpet bombed Gaza into oblivion day 1. They'd probably be done building the beach front condos by now.

….And you lost
kinda but also no. our objective was to assist the South Vietnamese in their war against War the North Vietnamese (and also an internal civil war) we did this due to a number of reasons. one of them being the Domino theory, but also because our allie asked for our intervention. The United States determined that the political cost was too high to continue to assist the South Vietnamese and thus we had to leave. if we were allowed to invade North Vietnam(which was not really possible because the North Vietnamese are backed by the Soviet Union who threatened to directly get involved if the United States invaded North Vietnam, but let's just assume we did) we militarily could have defeated North Vietnam.

But do remember one thing though, the Vietnamese are our Ally. and that happened very soon after the war ( like 3 presidents later). and that's because the Vietnamese don't hate us, they hate the French. and they hate the Chinese.

no it doesn't.

They literally did that and they lost idk what to tell you.
no they didn't. are you high???? there's whole sections left for "humanitarian zones"

also, I won't apologize for any grammar or spelling issues I'm having. I'm phone posting.

You lost the point.

The point wasn't winning or losing but the morality and hand wringing about killing the enemy. You were comparing a war fought in 1967 and one fought in 2024 as if there was no change in the mindset and morality in fighting a war.

If it helps you, go back farther to WWI Verdun where over a million casualties were suffered on that one battlefield.... or any other bloody conquest where they didn't care how many men died if it makes the concept easier for you to grasp.

Otherwise you're being purposefully dense.

Edited to note: One of the reasons the US 'lost' in Vietnam was because of the rising morality about what was going on over there and all the deaths and destruction outweighing the benefits of winning.

Maybe I'm old, but pro-Palestinian chimpouts in the West are nothing new
Protests of this scale and ferocity were unthinkable prior to the war in Gaza
We have seen this before. It happened in 2012 with Pillar of Defense. Again in 2014 with Protective Edge. 2021, and now 2023. Here is how it will go:
  • Hamas attacks Israel,
  • Israel responds,
  • People who didn’t know what Gaza was the day before, typically liberals, take to the current most popular social media site and the streets to decry muh genocide
  • War drags on and months pass by
  • Novelty wears off, attention spans fall short, and slacktivism for Palestine sharply declines.

I always thought it was a diverse forward-thinking democratic society with many citizen minorities such as Druze and guaranteed civilian rights under the Israeli Common Law system.
it's that and a Jewish state. State it's like how Italy is an Italian state for Italian people, but you don't have to be Italian to live there. or how? Russia is a Russian country for the Russian people, but you don't have to be Russian to live there. or like how Poland is a country for Polish people that puts polish traditions and actions first, but you don't have to be polish to live there. remember Israel is more like a European country and it is America. in fact, I'd go on a limb to say Israel acts more like a middle European country (Poland Czech Republic, Slovakia those countries) than it is a western country. Identity is very important and the laws of the land reflect that, but it is also a Democratic country. we have to stop comparing Israel to France and start comparing Israel to the Czech Republic or Poland. this is because the country's original founders were from those areas.

A Polish person will say that Poland is a Democratic Republic, and anyone who wants to live there can but to be a citizen means to acknowledge and support the identity in the rules of being polish. a black person can move to Poland. however, to be a citizen they need to learn polish. they need to live there for a number of years and need to pass a test. that doesn't make the country as less democratic just means they're very particular on who they let in.

this double standard is really annoying when it comes to Israel. especially when the country is complaining about it or fucking shitholes like Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and South Africa.

there is nothing wrong with the making rules and what makes a citizen. it is each country's right to define whatever a citizen is. however, what isn't right is a country stripping citizenship from one of its citizens (and leaving them stateless). when the Israeli's won 1948, they said that anybody within their lands wanted to be in Israeli can stay and they granted them citizenship. those outside the borders, were not citizens. that is completely normal and fine. remember when the Jordan Kingdom gave up control of the West Bank and the Egyptians gave up control of the Gaza strip, they effectively made the Palestinians living there citizen-less people. They never granted them Jordanian or Egyptian citizenship. but we never talk about that.

The difference though is that with tiktok and everything, the threat of jihadist violence increases rapidly. the things are compounding, my fear that I live with is that some fucking liberal is going to get it in their head that the best way to fight against Zionism is to support some Muslim in shooting up a synagogue or a Jewish religious school or just any place where Jews are.

when October 7th happened I had family abroad traveling and I was very concerned. Because often these large-scale attacks come with them, terror attacks in foreign countries.

liberals don't understand that they're just repeating deeply anti-semitic and offensive things and I think for the first time ever Jews have realized this and they're cutting off dei from the head. they don't want anything associated with it because the idea was that we would support the minorities and when something happened they would support us back like they did in the past (mlk was a big zionist).

however, the new crop of "enlightened liberals" are just anti-semitic buffoons. that's why I hang out here, I'd rather some retard call me a kike to my face. than some fucking redditor, with a trans emoji talk about muh genocide and how they have jewish friends.

I do feel like that now that Trump has won and the general pendulum is swinging back. a lot of people do not have patience for this nonsense, especially seeing how young people are happily eating up and supporting crimes against humanity.

Just remember while people were screaming about a genocide and a famine in Gaza (which never happened. look at the photos. no one's starving and actually the population of Gaza increased during the war) there has been a massive famine in Yemen due mostly to the houthis, a massive civil War and famine in Sudan which the US state department has just brought up that the Sudanese have started using chemical weapons against their own civilians. also remember when people were talking before about how terrible Saudi Arabia was being in Yemen. remember this: the legally elected president of Yemen legally asked for and invited the Saudi Arabian military to assist them in fighting the houthi rebels and help reestablish sovereignty within Yemen. Saudi Arabia legally agreed and their military action (which we can very much criticize how it was played out. the Saudis are not very good) was 100% legal. The houthis are not a recognized government, they are not even a majority of the country, what they are is a small tribal family which comes from the northern Yemen and is taken over the capital, yet we took them off the terrorist list?????????

regardless of Israel, these fuckers are disrupting international shipping. that alone should lead a United States Marine expeditionary unit to fuck shit up in Yemen.

what changed is the media, they got lazy. they spent all their time screaming about Trump over bullshit, they didn't focus on his policy problems. they didn't focus on anything. they just talked about orange man bad and anything that any brown person said at face value. until the media wises up, this will only get worse and the result of this will be dead white people and dead Jews.

News in Israel is reporting a bit on info from the three freed hostages. One of them was subjected to surgery without aesthetic while being held hostage. I don’t know which one, but one of them returned and is missing fingers annd another one had shrapnel in her leg.

It reminds me of two hostages who were released in the first ransom deal. Mia Schem’s hand was almost entirely severed and a veterinarian operated on her, without anesthesia, after three days. She said her captors threatened to shoot her if she screamed. Maya Regev had her foot reattached at an improper angle and had to have it re-attached properly upon her release. I can’t imagine having to stay quiet while being cut open.

Aljazeera took the west for a ride. They have been reporting that Gazans are freezing to death and dying from a famine, but photos from the celebrations in Gaza show mobs of men in tank tops and short sleeves in the streets at night and people handing out platters of sweets. Temp in Gaza doesn’t really go below 10C 50F and the famine has been debunked. There were also videos and photos of Hamas operatives emerging from hospitals, finally wearing the uniforms that have been missing for this past year and a half. This would be a good moment for reflection for the people who have been parroting all the nonsense.

For fun, here is a screenshot from a Gazan telegram group complaining that the humanitarian aid being provided consists of products that they are boycotting.

unironic kissinger quote
Kissinger was a faggot.

Comparing a war in *faggy limp dick present time* to a war back in the 60s is retarded apples to oranges. Different mindset.

I'm pretty sure if Israel had a 60's morality and modern weapons Gaza would be flattened and fertilized with the bones of dead Pallies.

I can't tell if you're that retarded or just being intentionally disingenuous.
It's crazy because wars in 1960s were still limp-dicked faggotry as opposed to WW2, and much more so compared to any pre-1900's war.

Vietnam was still lost not by actual battlefield losses (not that the NVA didn't sneak in a few good punches), but rather purely because of politics.
It's stupid comments like this that make me wish Israel had just carpet bombed Gaza into oblivion day 1. They'd probably be done building the beach front condos by now.
This is exactly why Hamas took hostages.
It basically forces infantry raids and operations by ground troops to assault possible hostage locations; and prevents Israel from just doing the obvious solution of just napalming x willy pete'ing everything from the southern border to the Med.

"Hamas is finished" says increasingly worried yid for the 300th time since Oct. 7
It’s been 4 years on the farms and I think this is the first time anyone has accused me of being Jewish
I don’t know which one, but one of them returned and is missing fingers
Yeah, I seen on the news that her fingers got blown off during an October 7th attack, she’s been in a bandage since

It's maddening seeing the very same twitter/facebook warriors shitting up my "whose birthday is it" feed with constant "peace now, ceasefire now, stop the war/genocide" posts immediately turn around the next day and start with the "never forgive, never 5give, revenge will cum soon" posts.

It's like fuck me I'm not saying we should all hug and kiss and sing kumbhaya together but at this point I genuinely want to see peaceful, public relations with Israel in my lifetime because I've had it with this pointless bullshit and I'm amazed how I seem to be in the public minority for this.

Like I can't dislike what's happening to Gaza or the west bank but also can't dislike subhuman niggers like hamas and their supporters and everyone who excuses shit like mass killing civilians and posing their defiled bodies on the internet or claiming that suicide bombers would be totally ok if they targeted military personnel instead of civilians or be on their side or thinking this is all god damn insane to have this multi-generational death beef perpetuated against a people I've genuinely never directly met or interacted with outside of like two whole hours and upon watching a few videos of them celebrating Sinwar's death I can't help but be amazed at how familiar it feels and how insane it is that diplomacy and genuine acceptance/compromise was seemingly never considered as a real option.

I might have said this before but the “ceasefire now” mongs are telling on themselves. They don’t want peace, that want Hamas to rearm and regroup. They don’t object to the 07 October attacks, they object to those attacks not destroying Israel.
