I don't think there is a coherent plan, either. There's no one in the wheelhouse that has the knowledge, humility, courage, and conviction to confront the contradictions and take a new course - it's just full steam ahead into the iceberg out of fanatical ideologism/Status-Quo-Bias for the sake of it (to them, it's about the means, not the ends, for example someone like Janet Yellen).
