I'm also a bit skeptical about these new leaks, because the current situation cultivates the perfect atmosphere to troll with all kinds of misinformation. Then again, people dismissed the screenshots of Musa and spent days trying to prove they are fake. It turned out the character is very real after all. Then, people were quick to dismiss the article about the gay scene, which was, once again, confirmed to be true. At this point everything is on the table and we will know for sure how deep the rot is after the game drops. These leaks are a bit sus to me, because there is one contradiction to a previous info. Didn't Grummz' source state that Istvan Toth is surprisingly not doing any faggotry in the sequel?
Although I'm immensely disappointed and a bit sad, I'm beginning to enjoy the rising shitstorm.

There's just no reason for it to be right except pure mean-spiritedness towards a chunk of the OG audience who liked the character. That is the point where it becomes near purely that.

Enough of the wrong kind of people (aka white men) liked the first game that the second one getting the Joker 2 treatment because of that is not out of the question.

Sure that's an angle they could try to take but it is an extremely bad idea from an RPG perspective. It taints the entire thing for the people who actually went and did the romance because they liked the character.

There is again no reason to do it from a narrative or player agency perspective, it pleases nobody except maybe fujos.

This has been a tough one for me to sit with. I look forward to very few new games and the last I can recall was stalker 2 which I passed on after learning it pretty much had zero connection to the original GSC dev team. I really liked the first game jank and all and was super pumped to finish the story

Istvan was the only gay character in the first game and even then I don't think it's outright stated. I figured we'd see more of that in the second game because I'm sure it's where the score gets settled.

As for Musa of Mali... Wew lad. Listen if there was a plausible backstory I can get behind, then whatever I suppose however talking to a buddy whose really into medieval history, it's highly unlikely someone from Mali would make that sort of journey to interact with the HRE's court. I really appreciated the first games setting and this combined with the twitter sperging isn't really giving me the warm and fuzzies.

I think the Theresa thing would be the final nail if it is true, not only to the game but honestly if it is true the fact that no antiwoke grifter who has supposedly played the game already hasn't leaked it would destroy their credibility.

Why? Because it's non-optional as presented. The entire roleplaying argument for the gay thing would be dead.

That's why I don't think it's true. It is simply too much.

yeah, Toth's faggotry supposedly wasn't ever brought up, no cocks were ever shown on screen, all cutscenes are skippable: these new leaks (granted, it's just some random fag on the Steam boards saying "trust me bro" so i'm hesitant to even call them leaks), Vavra said all cutscenes are skippable and there were no cocks on screen so one of them is full of shit.

Once again, I hope these new leaks are not true, but I always found it strange how Theresa is missing from all the marketing content and the focus was always on the new red head with the boobies. Her absence from promo material might give some credibility to these fresh statements.

Edit: It looks like this is all bullshit fortunately. I still don't get why Theresa is missing from the trailers.
