On a side note; going to war, really going to war with the cartels would be akin to the worst of the worst relating to Iraq, Vietnam, and Afghanistan. You'd have to go full scorched earth ripping out the cartel stem and root from Mexico/Central America and use such unspeakable violent force, that inevitably you'd irreversibly turn Mexicans and Central Americans anti-American for two three centuries and spawn a Hispanic version of Al Quadea/ISIS/Vietcong, that our kids, grandkids, great grandkids, etc will be dealing with retaliation fueled terror attacks, even more corrupt puppet governments that will fold the instant we remove our troops from their country, and no guarantees that we will even have destroyed the cartels.
