The gist was that by all accounts Manning as a seething manlet on the verge of a military discharge who had delusions of grandeur and wanted to Be Someone, the whole process of leaking info involved him asking how to make it reflect good on him. Snowden was actually a noble person detonating his life for the greater good.

Manning’s leaks was still a net positive but it wasn’t at all honorably done, his troonout makes more sense knowing the psych profile of the average AGP is ego driven.

I think you need to look over the numbers again, because they paint a different picture than you're suggesting.

In the first chart, the number is approximately 1200 missing persons over a six month period, but of these, 1100 were found. That means that there were only about 100 still missing, which is the number you need to focus on for the second statistic. The percentages have Native Americans making up 28% of the total missing, so about 340 of the total, yet they're only 6.2% of the total population of Montana. So there is definitely a disproportionate number of missing Indians.

In the second news clipping, it says 48 Native Americans are currently missing in the state. The question becomes, what percentage of the total population currently missing is Indians? The stats quoted above are only over a six-month period, and since I'm not sure how long people tend to stay missing for or how long those currently missing have been so, it's hard for me to draw meaningful conclusions with this much data. (I'm also not sure where to get more in-depth data, which also hampers my ability to draw conclusions. I also don't really care enough to research this any more than cursorily.) That said, if we just do a basic assumption from the numbers given and use the "100 still missing" statistic, approximately half of those currently missing are Indians, considerably more than their 6.2% population share.

So with all of that in mind, an argument could be made to devote more resources to this issue as there's clearly an outsized amount of Indians disappearing...except as @Stupid Sexy Flanders and @Chickenpolar pointed out, Natives are probably the ones at fault, and they're not going to work with the police anyway. Thus, throwing more money at this may not have any effect whatsoever, and the whole thing ends up being a complete waste.
