One thing you need to understand, my fellow kiwis, is that people like Autumn and her audience see non-marginalized groups and identities as problematic and bad. It doesn't matter that Autumn is a "man" and Wis is a "woman", because being straight in any capacity is on the level of a cardinal sin to these people. I've seen people get called problematic for being straight and having straight pairings they ship in fandom spaces. The more flavors of oppressed identities you add, the harder it is to criticize and berate you in these circles, and Autumn has known this for years.

"Lesbian" is what you call yourself when you date anyone but straight cis men. If you are a straight cis man, you have to transition to use it. Anyone else uing the label are either trans and cis women (true and honest lesbians) or nonbinaries and trans boys (not men) who break the gender barrier so hard they still love women in the pure lesbian way, not the icky icky straight male way. Basically, it's "queer" people who are female at birth desperately trying not to look straight if they transition, and to hold that lesbian credit. Lesbians are put on a pedestal for bing two oppressed people who are pure of heart loving each other in the most pure, non-cis male way possible (idolized and fetishized) so the less liking of straight cis men, the better.
