He did not do a Nazi salute. I honestly have no idea who the people are pushing he did do a nazi salute (oh wait, I do, it's the same people that call Trump a fascist every time he flexes his fingers) What he was doing was obvious, it was a gesture of "my heart goes out to you", to both sides of the audience, which is what he said right after doing those two gestures. You can say that he shouldn't have done it because it looks a bit too close to the salute, which fine you have a case for, but going all the way to fully accuse him of doing it completely ignoring the obvious context in which it was actually done is a bridge way too far for me and I'm honestly surprised there are people even here that actually accuse him of it.

I don't like Elon at all, I wish he'd just stop running his mouth and stop ruining Twitter like a lot of people, but there doesn't need to be obvious fake accusations thrown around to pick at him.

I think Elon's the sorta autist who needs to be a center of attention, like a toddler going "look at me, mommy" before they knock something over on purpose. He knew what he was doing, but I also don't think he put much thought into it. Like, he went up there, though "heheh, I should do a Nazi salute" than did it.

Part of it is him being a goofy autist whose brain stopped developing in middle school. Another is that he got too used to the treatment Ledditors gave him. He clearly did not pay attention to how media or politics work. I don't believe it was a SIG HAIL either but he shouldn't have shitcanned his assistant.

Better answer: Elon lost gamer cred after he got caught lying about his abilities, probably real world trading/alting and his overall poor reaction after being called out. So, he wants to get his gamer cred back and throwing a roman is possible way to get some gamer respect back. But, in order to actual get it back he has to say the gamer word, NIGGER not Nigga or NiBBa but Nigger. Elon needs to call Kamala a Nigger on national TV so he earn back the gamers respect.

He bitches about people misrepresenting him, while amplifying bullshit still frames from videos in which democrat politicians clearly did completely different gestures, while claiming that his disinformation platform is the truth and real media is bad. He has no issue smearing other people with lies, but even accurately reporting that he did something that looks exactly like a Hitler salute, in those neutral terms, sets him off.

Even though he is such a good goy that even the ADL swept for him, I think there's an outside chance that it really was a dogwhistle, or maybe it's just something he does in his bathroom, like the edgy child he is, and in the moment he did it subconsciously.

(read the posts following that second link which was someone asking why people are feeling bad for DSP - someone specifically says "Kiwifarms does not lack empathy")

It's still totally possible to have empathy for them even if they're bad people and the kiwifarms allows all sorts of views. That's what makes it interesting.

A lot of rich people try to build that image of them that they got there by themselves, that they are self-made. That is basically almost never true. They were all born rich and just managed to increase their fortune which honestly, is easier than one thinks (money tends to accumulate, the more you have of it, the more this is true and these people where at the right place at the right time with the start of the information age). Musk is no exception. This is a person who has never known any kind of hardship in life and has rarely, if ever, heard "no". This leads to a weak, parasitic character which additional billions will never change. I think it takes a very specific personality or very good upbringing to not turn into a degenerate with this start into life, and that seems to be rare.

I don't feel confident armchair diagnosing Musk being "autistic" from afar like this, to be honest. I can very well imagine that at heart, he's just that much of a spoiled, soft manchild and that's not a mental illness.

What I do think is that he probably used to have some very good handlers for his PR he got rid of, which probably made him worse.

re: His nazi salute - I find it hard to judge what it means as I am pretty sure he was on pretty heavy, mind-altering drugs during that entire event.
