Kingdom Come Deliverance - Or how I stopped worrying about SJW and love Bohemia | Now with betrayal and a lot more niggers. "Historically accurate." BlackRock ruined the series.

I had JUST checked his twitter again when I read this. Good catch though. So do you guys think it'll flop or it'll do as well if not better than the first game?
The road to 6 million sales (oy vey) was very long and rough for KCD1, but it looks like this one will be doing better at release from the wishlist and top seller numbers. Most people will buy the game after the user reviews come out, but super fans are keeping it in the top sellers right now.
We don't have statistics on how big the detractor numbers are and how big of a dent they will make in the sales or have done in the preorders, but I think the biggest impact they had is convincing a portion of the base to cancel their preorders and wait until after release and not to completely abandon it (which would be a lost sale).

It is still poised to start very strong and, depending on if the opinion shifts on the game, will probably sell better than KCD1 in the long run, which it needs to, since the budget is obviously way higher this time around.

At least going by Youtube, I honestly don't think it's impacted anything that heavily. I don't know if a janny is watching over the comment section, but people are more disappointed about the Spring update adding content that should have been there at launch, like Hardcore Mode and the barber feature.

Yeah, while hardcore came later in KCD1 and the barber was very sparse, the barber "update" made me cock an eyebrow. I guess they just went "Fuck it, most people played default Henry in KCD1 and nobody will start the game on Hardcore, let's just prioritize gameplay stability and bugfixes."

I don't even think most people are aware of the controversy. I saw some people in YouTube comments going "Is this game woke" and they were met with confusion. I guess less people check the steam community hub than I thought, since that has been being brigaded for a week now.

I appreciate he doesn't grift. One of the lolcows I respect more.
He jerks off to trannies and is pretending to be Christian.
This fits in with his current grift.

Good question.
I think it is going to do fine, but the hardcore fans have had a knife put in their back. They won't forget and they won't be there when they fuck up. And that's the big one.
When you lose your hard fans who would buy a stinker. You're done for.

I really like the language being used here for the nigger - "some NPCs can be killed, like in first game, but some can't, I can't tell you which category the nigger belongs to because of spoilers"

Translated from PR rat to human, it means the nigger is unkillable.
We know he is killable. You can have him executed for a crime he (allegedly) didn't commit. This is the story spoiler that is being avoided here.

The statement, that Henry was straight in the first game, because of (((budget constraints))), is hilarious. What a retarded, bullshit excuse. Adding a few more lines and a cutscene where he could commit sodomy, would have totally made them broke back then. Henry couldn't be gay, cause Warhorse was too poor. Lol, lmao even.
In a way it is true though, no one had the budget to buy Vavra a Bentley back then, so he was not compelled to make Henry a fag.

Claims that most of the developers are athiests in response to the whole "this is not a Christian game" statement. KCD simply has Christian stuff in it because Bohemia in 1403 happened to be a Christian country, and isn't intended to be about Christian values or spreading gospel.
That's not a surprise, of course they would go degenerate as soon as they felt they could get away with it. It is in their nature to be drawn to make Earth more like the place where they will inexorably end up for all eternity.

The only way where I could see it being true is if they were road mapping their game and budgeting and going "OK, we have time and money to develop two romances."
Theresa wasn't even a question and they really wanted the Lady Stephanie encounter. So it truly was budget constraints.

But I think there was just little opportunity to have a faggot romance in the rural bushes of Bohemia. It just makes more sense to happen in "the big city", rather than Ledetchko or Rovna. And... honestly, that being a way better excuse than what they gave us makes me think it was actually budget restrictions. I don't really see "budget restrictions" as the go to excuse for something like that if you want to do damage control, so I am airing on the side of "Sounds like bullshit, but I believe it."

To add, I think the last part is key here. Even though Warhorse may signal to everyone publicly that the game is enjoying financial success because of X millions sold, at the end of the day we don't know what their development/marketing budget is and it might not still be enough to satisfy the publisher to be considered a success internally.

Tomb Raider 2013 (one of the most expensive games made at the time apparently) if I remember correctly suffered this fate, they sold 3+ million copies in two weeks yet Square still had to layoff Crystal Dynamics employees the same year because they couldn't justify the profit margins.

The budget constraints excuse is obvious bullshit because they could have added it to DLC. Come now.
Here is your gay DLC, sir, that will be 5.99.

The DLCs were also already mapped out, I am sure, so if they added gay romances as an update later or with the DLC, it would truly be forced.

It still sounds like bullshit, don't get me wrong, but it's such bullshit that it almost sounds like it's true. If I were to do damage control, I'd do it differently, at least. I don't think it was supposed to be a joke, since the guy is trying to quell the fires, and he does say he was part of the PR for the first game, too, so... who knows?

All I know is that my Henry is straight.

Wait a minute.

So we can't trust the former community manager for saying Henry was always straight, even though at the time that was obviously objectively so, bnecause they were just a community manager.

So what exactly is stopping someone from saying "so by this logic we can't trust you because you're also just a CM"?

It's the same community manager they were also the one who said he was straight.

I also like how they said they were never part of the culture war.

100 Million Dollar Budget.....

Yeah, going big carries a lot of risk. KCD1 had a budget of 36 million after they scored some investors, and reportedly KCD2 is on par with a "medium-sized Hollywood movie or Netflix series", and they keep reiterating that its double the size, double the team etc so the estimation is 70-80 million, which means they would break even if a million people preorder the game. Hence the 80 dollar gold edition option.

It's amazing how they admit the inclusion of gay romance is just blatant pandering, as they are aware, that the grand majority of players are going to continue to play Henry as a straight man. If the player has to go out of his way to be a faggot, then why even include it? How would a hypothetical gay player, who did not follow the controversy, figure out that Henry can find a gay lover, if this option is only made available many hours into the game and its hard to pull off? It is clear its there, either to tick ESG checkboxes, or Vavra demanded it, because he is in the closet, plus this shit is just part and parcel with members of the tribe.
What a shitshow.
