Should have bookmarked my post, but back when he said he would get rid of taxes on tips + all the tariff talk I posted his goal looked to be getting rid of the income tax. The formation of the external revenue service at leaves gives the perception that he is replacing taxing Americans with taxing trade, WHICH WAS HOW THE GOVERMENT WAS FUNDED BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR!! If he does that.. how does Vance lose. How does anyone reinstitute an income tax again?

I pay $7k/year for myself and my kids’ insurance premiums, it’s impossible to schedule a dr appointment for someone getting sick before they’re over it anyways, and urgent care is at least $50.

What do I get with my $7k/year? It feels like nothing. I’m pretty sure I get nothing for it

Edited to add: Technically the income tax was always supposed to be a temporary measure to pay for the civil war, so by doing this Trump is technically officially ending the civil war, which amuses me.

I have to believe they’ll go on because of course they will. The only real backlash to Pride month I’ve seen is going after companies for special rainbow merch.
