Funny how bad and expensive healthcare in the US got after ACA went into action...

I almost lost my employer-funded health insurance because of the ACA. It was deemed too good by the government so they were going to put a tax on it. I'm not even freaking kidding. My employer threatened to either drop it entirely or start charging us for it.

And the joke is that I had better health insurance when I was a security guard making 1/4th as much. Before that company got bought out, anyway.
And prior to the ACA I was unemployed and had to get insurance out of pocket. I found a website and got it done myself at an affordable rate. Saved me like $10k on gallbladder surgery.

No. It's an area where the IRS decided tips were taxable income, when it's actually closer to a gift, and gifts can't be taxed as income. The IRS is in the Executive Branch, directly subordinate to the office of the President.

Are you sure? I've heard many times that this was a propaganda move from the gambling industry, who funded shill studies to make this "The Science".
