What I think happens is eventually economic factors mean they'll have to choose between abandoning capitalism for fascism or communism to keep the social programs going, or drop the social programs, and I don't know where these people are going to go when that occurs.

Like picture the UK being told that no, you literally can't afford to keep feeding infinity number of paki rape gangs for the privledge of them raping hundreds of thousands of white girls. I honestly could see their response being something like "What if we just force people to give them food and shelter at gunpoint? How many months or years of paki rape gangs does that buy us before the white people start to starve to death?"

I think gays will be surprised that the only reason they are championed like they are is because of them being co-opted by the corporations and the government as some elaborate marketing campaign. It'll be rather sad when they realize no one cares about them as much as they thought they did.

It's kind of the other way round. Gays lobbied for corporations to champion them (around 90s-2000s) because they knew that corporate America is one of the most powerful entities in the world and hold a huge amount of sway in public discourse. Since gays on average are healthier, they rubbed shoulders with big businesses to push gay, lesbian and transgenders rights stuff to normalise it in the public discourse. If individual income tax income is greatly diminished and tariff income doesn't materialize as idealized the government will realistically either have to shrink or allow the national deficit to grow even more which will eventually become an even bigger issue in the long-term.

I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."
And the dude next to me says "Hey i'm not doing anything. i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in sweatpants and a disney teeshirt, I noticed.

Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't recognize his face but it was Patton Oswalt. smug expression and stuff. You get to recognize him."

And I was like ohok and he continues.

I hope so too. I have a friend who is in so deep that she is convinced that her and her wife would get hate crimed for being gay (in SoCal of all place). The fear is real to her, and it breaks by heart seeing my best friend like this. I hope one day she realizes that the left aren't her friends and that things aren't that bad.
