It must be said as well that it's basically an open secret that constituencies with large South Asian populations are known to be rife with voter fraud, as many Muslim households continually invent non-existent dependents over years in order to claim benefits each mosque attendee could be worth anywhere from 3-10 phantom votes along with their genuine ones.

As a related aside, I have been wondering lately whether the reported Muslim population of the UK is actually accurate? If Muslims will happily lie to the DWP and the Electoral Commission for their own benefit, then I don't think it's much of a stretch to say they're lying to the Office for National Statistics as well. As for the government and civil service, well they've shown that they'll lie about literally anything, and anything they won't lie about they'll probably get wrong due to incompetence anyway. Obviously illegal immigrants would balance out the number somewhat, but I am curious as to whether the total number of at least ethnic Pakistanis and Bengalis in the UK might not be as high as census data reports. Wouldn't put any money on it though.

I would have said the opposite, that there's many more here than the figures suggest.

If you were a stats autist, you could get a rough figure by doing (number of people in Pakistan) / (number of mosques in Pakistan) * (number of mosques in Britain).

Your individual perception is garbage at determining population numbers. This is an area where perceptual bias is too strong.

You're going to overestimate groups you find threatening and underestimate groups you don't. For example, people consistently overestimate middle eastern and african population numbers in europe ( not that those numbers aren't large but they're not as large as people think they are) while MASSIVELY underestimating east Asians.

You're also going to estimate based on what you actually see, which seems obvious, but it's really, really not. For example, in many states the racial replacement of the white working poor by Latinos was massively visible quite some time ago if you had any contact with public education - but most people don't.

You're way more affected by media portrayals than you think. For example, people are very sure that southern CA towns and neighborhoods heavily mentioned in 90s hiphop are all still black, and even 30 years later are unaware of the ethnic cleansing that took place in those areas.
