We also already have the Civil Rights Act, which makes those other laws pretty redundant. Even though I have my own personal gripes against the act (specifically the way in which they are enforced), the others ended up being more trouble than they were worth.

Sometimes I wonder if we've actually developed an invisible caste system that we're not aware of. Ireland has an average IQ of 90. Irish-Americans have a lot of good lawyers, but if it were all them would we have a space program? What kinds of jobs do Scandinavian-Americans have, compared to all the Irish-American loggers I know up in the Redwood Empire?

When a vine is rotted it's better to just cut it back and let new growth come in. Get rid of the twisted limbs and let nature replace it with something that will be healthier, stronger, able to resist the previous disease and be more fruitful for it's original purpose.

It's always 1000% more effort and usually impossible to save something that is already decaying. It will never be fully healthy again either if you let it be.
