Trump just got smacked by real Christianity, and now he has to whine about it.
Bishodemonize. Budde read Trump the riot act about treatment of LGBTQ+ people, and he didn't like it.
The Tuesday prayer service was the last event scheduled as part of the inauguration, at the Washington National Cathedral.
Hours after getting hit with a punch of morality, Trump had to complain on Truth Social.
He tries to deligitimize her right off the bat with "so-called bishop." Then, words usually reserved for opposing Democrats, "Radical Left hard line Trump hater." This is a woman of God telling you how Jesus would react to people different than him. You're lucky she didn't reel off the Ten Commandments and explain how you broke each one of them.
"...church into the World of politics." Doesn't seem to bother you when pastors praise you in violation of tax codes prohibiting political speech in churches. Politics had nothing to do with it. You just think so because you won the election doing exactly what the bishop condemned.
"She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart." One would think you were talking about Nancy Pelosi or a reporter. Reporters especially since they ask those "nasty" questions you can't answer.
Somehow that veers into the immigrant song and dance of killers from across the border from jails and insane asylums that's a giant crime wave. You can tell he's really upset because he's completely lost his train of thought. He won't get it back, either. Besides the LGBTQ+ criticism, Bishop Budde also asked him for mercy for immigrants who work in the fields, wash dishes, work in meat packing plants and take jobs no others would take, but still pay taxes, unlike Trump. The look on his face said it all.
Then he finally gives his review of her performance. Because she told you how Jesus would act, and how you haven't, her "inappropriate statements" were "boring and uninspiring." Doesn't seem to be boring at all to you. You're angry as hell. And you should be there.
She is great at her job! She did what many should do to you every day. Remind you how a human being is supposed to act.
"She and her church owe the public an apology!" And he's sooo upset he doesn't notice the extraneous "t" at the end before he hits send.
You're looking for an apology to you. You're not going to get it from her or the Episcopal Church. They have had openly gay bishops for decades. Only the MAGA will be upset. The rest of the world will say, "Right on!"
