I'm sure it's somewhere on this site but the tl;dr feds were talking to him and kept insisting they knew some hitmen (more feds) who could take out some guys (feds) and kept saying he should do it while the recommended target (feds) kept becoming a bigger pain. They were trying to get him on anything they could instead of y'kno.. the things he was doing.

Paid a scammer for a fake hitman to sic on another scammer (that might have been the same person, I don't remember) that threatened to release thousands of personal details of Silk Road customers to feds.
Ultimately, he wasn't charged for it so it's not what he was pardoned of. I figure he did it more out of paranoia to protect his users and not feel the immense guilt of ruining thousands of lives as opposed to actually desiring someone's death.

in the OG firethread I was top level fiya watcha and watch just about even part of it unfold live

the damage wont be as massive on a dollar scale but the size of the fire will be crazy huge and the ash and smoke will be the real issues both long and short term

its also roughly half the size of the BIGGEST of the "other" LA fires and the other one needed 15 days to get that size

this one has done it in just under 6 and a half hour with MUCH worse winds all nigh and tomorrow

He did hire a hitman. There are two sides to that story though. Essentially someone exit scammed Silk Road users for a ton of money and it was causing him issues. He was approached by a "biker gang" (the feds) who said hey man you look really weak we wanna do business with you but we can't handle weakness. We can find this guy and kill him with our biker gang connections and then we'll do a multimillion dollar deal with you. Then they pushed him into doing it every step of the way.

Does that make him innocent? Not to me but it reaks of ruby ridge and similiar things like when "some guy" (the feds) ask someone to cut down some shotguns. Is it an identical situation? Not really, but that's my general feeling
