You read the documents. They start off by saying: "We are only assuming that the box causes it to rain."
"That's weird" you think. You keep reading. For some reason it says it again!

You keep reading. The documents say that in order for the box to cause it to rain the small speaker has to play a specific sound, using a certain amount of energy, at a specific frequency, which will then reach the clouds and cause it to rain.
You look it up. The speaker isn't capable of producing that kind of sound, the wires aren't capable of carrying that amount of energy, the battery doesn't have enough power to run the speaker, and even if it did the sound wouldn't reach the clouds anyways.

Examining the claims of Gateway
Now we will walk through the claims Gateway makes. Keep in mind that what they are describing here is a
Chain of Action, which means that
if a single link breaks the entire chain falls apart.
Let's see how many links break on this chain.
Gateway's foundational principle is Hemi-Sync, or Hemispheric Synchronization, which is the phenomenon where the electrical activity in the two hemispheres of the brain become more closely aligned or synchronized.
Under normal conditions the brain will exhibit hemispheric synchronization when it is relaxed, creative, processing emotions, in a flow state, listening to music, or when it is being Entrained (intentional practices using binaural beats or other forms of brainwave entrainment).
The brain naturally shifts between different states and patterns of activity throughout the day, adapting to the demands of various tasks and experiences as needed.
Gateway uses Binaural Beats to invoke Hemispheric Synchronization through Entrainment.
But you have to understand that this is no different than listening to music or playing a rhythm game like Guitar Hero.
When the Brain focuses on anything rhythmic it will invoke Hemispheric Synchronization through Entrainment. This is not magic and the brain experiences Entrainment all the time throughout the day.
ANY auditory stimulation using repetitive or modulated tones elicits a specific neural response pattern that can be measured by electroencephalography (EEG) or magnetoencephalography (MEG), so this is nothing special to Gateway.
Binaural beats are just a useful tool Gateway uses to help ease the mind into a relaxed state.
According to Gateway, once your hemispheres sync, your consciousness moves
"outside the physical sphere so as to ultimately escape even the restrictions of time and space".
It states:
"The participant then gains access to the various levels of intuitive knowledge which the universe offers".
What these guys think makes Gateway different from meditation is that:
"the EEG patterns of both hemispheres are equal in amplitude and frequency". They say that
"Audio techniques developed by Bob Monroe can induce and sustain Hemi-Sync with the Institute's basic Focus 3 tapes".
So basically they figured out how to invoke the same feeling you get from playing Guitar Hero with their Gateway Tapes.
For binaural beat stimulation, the brainwave entrainment hypothesis was corroborated primarily by empirical studies demonstrating time-locked ASSRs. While review articles on brainwave entrainment indicate that binaural beats are the most commonly used type of auditory stimulation,
no specific justification is given for this preference.
A systematic review for empirical evidence of brainwave entrainment effects due to binaural beat stimulation was conducted, and it's where i've gotten most of my information regarding binaural beat stimulation:
The review yielded inconsistent findings with five studies reporting results in line with the brainwave entrainment hypothesis, eight studies reporting contradictory results, and one mixed results.
Their conclusion was:
"Existing studies reporting changes in psychological and physiological functioning due to putative effects of brainwave entrainment in response to binaural beat stimulation should be considered with caution."
Gateway states:
"When the left ventricle of the heart ejects blood, the aorta, being elastic, balloons out just beyond the valve and causes a pressure pulse to travel down along the aorta. When the pressure pulse reaches the bifurcation in the lower abdomen (which is where the aorta forks in two to go into the legs), part of the pressure pulse rebounds and starts traveling up the aorta. If in the meantime the heart ejects more blood, and a new pressure pulse is traveling down, these two pressure points will eventually collide somewhere along the aorta and produce an interference pattern."
Within fluid dynamics, this actually could be possible. And fluid filled cavities are influenced by resonance.
However Gateway states:
"The result is a regular, rhythmic sinewave pattern of sound which echoes throughout the body and rises up into the head in sustained resonance. The amplitude of this sinewave pattern, when measured with a sensitive, seismograph type instrument is about three times the average of the sound volume produced by the heart when it is operating normally."
This still doesn't really align with the conventional understanding of fluid dynamics or fluid interference patterns in fluid mechanics or biology. In fluid dynamics, according to my understanding, when the heart produces "heart sounds", they are not typically characterized as a continuous sinewave pattern but rather as distinct, rhythmic sounds corresponding to different phases of the cardiac cycle, such as the "lub-dub" sounds ("S1" and "S2" is what they're technically called, apparently).
The "lub-dub" sounds of the heart are not sinusoidal (sine wave) in nature. They are distinctive, complex sounds that result from the various mechanical events and turbulence associated with the cardiac cycle. These sounds are not pure tones but are composed of multiple frequencies and components. These sounds have a unique and complex waveform that does not resemble a simple sine wave.
Furthermore suggesting that these sounds are three times the average volume does not align with established principles of acoustics and the measurement of heart sounds. Interference patterns in the context of heart sounds are more related to the characteristics of those sounds rather than their loudness. Fluid interference patterns do not directly result in a uniform increase in the loudness of the heart sounds. The only way to increase loudness is with high-intensity activities like running.
From my understanding the increase in amplitude is of "considerable importance" to their theory because this is what is supposed to then transmit itself to the brain through the third and left ventricles located above the brainstem. This is supposed to then produce micromotion in the dura and make the brain
"move up and down approximately 0.005 to 0.010 millimeters in a continuous pattern".
"The self reinforcing character of resonant behavior accounts for the body's ability to sustain this movement despite the minimal level of energy involved. Doing a rundown of the bodies micromotions:
Muscle Tremors: 0.5Hz-20Hz
Cardiac Micromotion: 0.5-2Hz
Respiratory Motion: 0.2Hz-0.33Hz
Cellular Activity: 0.001Hz-5Hz
Vibrations in the Nervous System: 1Hz-200Hz
So getting the entire body to resonate in this way is impossible.
And even if it was possible, we're talking about only roughly 10nW in amplitude. If the body was actually sending out a coherent signal like this it would be blocked by any background ambiance and all you would receive on the other side is static.

It is not possible for a 7-7.5Hz sound wave to propagate in consonance with the Earth's electrostatic field. Sound waves are mechanical waves that require a medium, such as air, water, or a solid, to propagate. They cannot propagate through a vacuum, and they are unrelated to the Earth's electrostatic field, which is an electric field associated with the charge distribution on the Earth's surface and interactions with the atmosphere.
"This puts the body's energy field into homogeneity with its surrounding environment and promotes movement of the seat of consciousness into the surrounding environment partly in response to the fact that the two electromagnetic medians are now a single energy continuum."

Someone with a high level of "information processing" and "intuition" can improve their odds. Your knowledge of who is conducting the test can inform you of many things. Just as in card playing, each opponent has a style. One with a high level of intuition would be able to pick up on this style. They might be able to intuit what kind of randomness is being employed. Nothing is truly random, all random processes begin with a seed. Even a slot machine or any other random number generator is tied to a clock and a process. Someone with a high level of "information processing" would likely be aware of this and use it to their advantage. They may even be able to derive information from the physical object itself (such as scratches or imperfections in the object that others might ignore that they can utilize to improve their odds).
But even with that said, if someone is consistently getting the right choice 50% of the time when presented with 5 options, it still means they are making random or uninformed choices. They believe that the part labeled "hologram" is a god. Remember this is a 3 Dimensional structure in the image, so what they are calling the Hologram is the Giant Electromagnetic Tube. The Torus is just the direction or flow of the universe in this concept, that means that there are no "walls" separating Matter from this theorized Hologram. So basically, this is an actual structure that they believe they can travel to. For us within the Matter section of the Torus we'd basically be at the top coming out of the center, and basically just imagine that from where you are, their Giant Electromagnetic Tube God is over to the left of you.
So look left, and if you keep going in that direction, they believe you'll eventually arrive at the Tube God. It could be a different direction but that's the basic idea. It's an actual place that you can supposedly go to, unlike more traditional conceptions of god where they are sort of on another plane of existence.
To them, their god exists physically in this world and they can visit it.
